Community / Small teamspeak for starters
« on: March 14, 2016, 10:21:39 pm »
Hi there,

Long story short: I'm offering teamspeak space for regiments, so they don't have those ugly monthly costs.

The reason why I'm doing this is: I 'd like to see the teamspeak server filled up with people, as me and my friends hosting it, but it's rather empty now-a-days.

Depending on how much people you will bring, your rank (and ranks) will be based. Someone who brings 5 people might be a simple moderator and have a regiment officer rank etc, but someone who brings loads of people could have custom TS3 ranks. Just communicate and we'll definitely find something to work with!

Please post below if you're interested!

I'd be happy to see more people around'

Have a nice evening,
Mack

Community / What score would you give the commander above you?
« on: May 21, 2014, 06:48:49 pm »
Title says enough!

What score would you give them? Use this template:

Code
[b]- Diplomatic (0/10):[/b]
[b]- Leading (0/10):[/b]
[b]- Communication (0/10):[/b]
[b]- Administration (0:10):[/b]

Information on template:
Diplomatic - How is someone acting as diplomate? Is he an total agressive dictator who likes to insult other regiments and get your regiment in trouble? Is he a nice diplomat and gets all kind of friendshps for the regiment?
Leading - Speaks for it self. Does the commander always yolo charge while screaming alot and instantly dying, or is he a brilliant master mind, who doesn't have any trouble beating the art of war.
Communication: Is the commander totally worthless to his men, he dislikes everyone. Or is he a great guy?
Administration: Do you've to remind this commander about everything? Or does he have a nice administration, always has everything set..

Ofcourse everyone's opninion in different, so why don't give an explenation for your grades.. Keep the thread nice and clean please, no spam... Or I'll just ask for a lock!
Also please keep replies out like: don't know this person, if you don't know someone then just wait for your turn. There will be a time when you do know the last guy who replied.

Events: EU / The Grand Campaign ~ Economy system V1.0

THE CAMPAIGN MAP
[/img]
[close]
The picture above is just a image of the actual website, so people can keep track on FSE about troop movement aswell. On the website you can see info of troops, countrys etc by pressing them

The map is dynamic, and troop movement will be shown on this map and on the wesbite. ( Which will be given on a later date )
This map has been modified so you can see troop information and troop movement. I can also change the land colours really easily. Thanks to my brother and Aksei!

The Grand campaign
The grand campaign is a web-based campaign map, as we know in games as the total war series, europa universalis and so on. But much more simpler.

See the campaign like this: in total war games, you move your army to attack another army or siege a city. If such a thing happens in here, by one of the generals / goverments, then the 2 armies will fight in mount & blade: napoleonic wars. But as a campaign like this can't run without an economy system we are also busy creating such systems.

At the end, everything will be written out. Rules, events, incomes, trade, regiments and so on. So no misunderstatements will occur, because we won't spend all this time just to provoke a huge flame war / fight.

The signup system will work like this: regiment nr. 1 likes regiment nr. 2, they decide to sign up for this event together as France. The general / ruler of France sees the application and has enough manpower / money to afford two more regiments. He can either raise a new army called like XVI corps or he can put those regiments within another army. Because we know alot of friend politics might be going on we will carefully chose the rulers.

This is all the information we can provide for now, because it's very much work in progress.

Regiments / 59th Regiment of Foot - 2nd Nottinghamshire [ EU ]
« on: July 21, 2013, 11:09:44 pm »

Information

The 59th Regiment of Foot was once the valiant 4e that fought for the Emperor and France. We now fight for King (Gorge III) and country. We are an active regiment with a regular attendance of 20-25 per event and there is always 10+ in teamspeak at times of the day ready to play games and chat because we are a close group. We have around 5 events a week including, line battles, sieges and Training. In the 59th you don’t have to be high ranked to be known and welcome everyone from around the world, recruits will be accepted into are close group from the very beginning. We have a complex administration, and ranks play a big part in the 59th however you don't get rank-spammed, you need to earn it through your time with the regiment, which works as a good system of fairness and not bias. The 59th Regiment of Foot focuses on melee but can unleash a overwhelming well aimed volley, we are known for good formations in our battles that outweigh are opponents!

But why the 59th? Well it's easy, because we're understand that in the end its just a game. And you game for fun. We try to be the best, whilst keeping it fun for everyone. You don't have to attend all events, but we'd like to see you attend as much as you can. Besides that, we're all friends, and game alot. And that's also why you want to join a clan, right? Well I think you almost can't resist to join the 59th. So why don't you just signup now! Or just read furthur!

Event starts at 7:00 GMT, and I'd like to have everyone in teamspeak 141.105.120.208 at 6:45
The [4e] Army Command [88th], is a conquest event. But, we made a special gamemode of it! We used the conquest event, as its a battle. The points will be set to an 'X' amount ( depending on the map ). There will be only 2 conquest points, which is the base. All regiment leaders have to connect to our ts3 ( 141.105.120.208 ). In this teamspeak, a general will be present or might be picked at the moment and he'll keep on mind that every map has a special objective, which will affect the end-score. The maps will mostly be plains, with just a little town / road or anything else with it, which will be the objective. In our 'special-event' we only allow infantry, and one cavalry regiment per team. So the gameplay will definitely improve for infantry regiments willing to play this brand new gamemode!

The Point-System
The points will be set to an 'X' amount at the start of the battle. Depending of what map we're using at that evening. Whilst playing, people will die ( ofcourse ) and the points will go down. After 60 minutes, we'll look who owns the objective ( has units in it ). And then we'll remove the penalty, or add the bonus to the team who owned / didn't own the objective. The team with the most credits will win the battle.

Special bonus;
Capturing the enemy's colour = 'minus' 50 points for the enemy

For instance;
Spoiler

We set the credits to; 7000
>During the battle, Team 1 captures 2 enemy colours
>Team 2 captures the objective, just 1 minute before it ends
>(Ingame) Credits of Team 1; 5000
>(Ingame) Credits of Team 2; 4000

>Team 2 owns the objective, and by the map it says. The team who doesn't own it, gets -1000 points.
>Team 1 points; 4000           (5000-1000 = 4000)

>Team 1 captured 2 enemy colours
>Team 2 points; 3950       ( 4000-50 = 3950 )

> TEAM 1 WON THE EVENT

Regiments / A request for a merge.
« on: June 23, 2013, 03:19:54 pm »
Hello,

For everyone who doesn't know me, I'm Mack. My ingame name is 4e_Gren_Col_Lannes_Mack, I've been in this community for like 2,5 years. And I run the 4e Grenadiers for 2 years. The 4e has been a quite succesfull regiment at some point. We've a complex administration system, and a good officer:ranker ratio. At this point we get around 17-25 at each event. What once was 35-45+.

The problem nowadays is members, like alot of other regiments. There are some huge regiments out there, but alot more smaller ones. And as the 4e Grenadiers is already running for 2 years and build up his own reputation and such, we're wondering if anyone is ready to merge with us in order to build another big regiment. The only problem the 4e is encountering at this moment is numbers, we've no un-expected problems in the regiment.

If anyone is ready to merge with us, we'll be giving him a respectable officer rank. But his officer can't be promised an officer rank, as we have to keep to good officer:ranker ratio, but I'm sure we can come to a great solution by chat for this. Every enlisted will be given the some-what same rank. Besides that, we've an ingame server and teamspeak. We got everything covered, we just need some good officers and alot more soldiers! And if anyone is willing to make a great regiment with us, we'll be open for that.

Community / All factions are dying.
« on: April 07, 2013, 10:38:04 pm »
All factions are dying, except for united kingdom. Every day new UK regiments are created, but nearly no french / prussian / austrian regiment. And almost never a russian one.

Please don't go like; because UK is the best... I think this is a serious problem, as the other factions can't really form armies / coalitions now etc.

About
This new linebattle is hosted by the 88th 'Connaught Rangers' Regiment of Foot and the 4e Regiment de Grenadiers-a-pied de la Garde Imperiale.
The idea of this linebattle originally comes from the 84e Regiment, as they originally used thin maps. We'd love to keep on hosting events on such maps, but with infantry only, as we want charging and advancing regiments all over the field to make sure the event is nice and fun for everyone! Also such thin maps will block people from instant-charging, and tactical teamwork is the key to win on those maps.

Rules

  • Don't fire in a charge / out of formation
  • Don't aim for officers
  • Listen to the admins
  • Basic rules are obvious

Regular attending regiments

  • 4e Regiment de Grenadiers-a-pied de la Garde Imperiale       - 25
  • 88th 'Connaught Rangers' Regiment of Foot       - 25
  • The Royal Recruits       - 20
  • 5 Kleist Infantrie Regiment      - 15
  • 17e Regiment d'Infanterie      - 15/20
  • 73rd Perthshire Highlander      - 10/15
  • 16e Regiment d'Infanterie Légère      - 12/15
  • 78th Regiment of Foot      - 10
  • 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards      - 20/25
  • 37th Regiment of Foot      - 20
  • Spartan Hoplites     - 10/15

Other

  • For questions add LannesMack on steam
  • Admins : Mack & Joker
  • The linebattle starts at 8:00 CET ( Amsterdam, Berlin )
  • You need to field atleast 8
  • Fire and advance is allowed,
as long as it's a formation. Don't just spread out

What is a banner pack?
A banner pack is a pack where different banners, from different regiments will be in. So other will see your custom made banner, and you'll see others! It's a nice idea made by KittenMittens, and I'd like to continue it. You can submit your own banners ( made by yourself ) or you can request a banner, which I / someone else will make, but I won't make to much...

Suggestions & Bug Reports / More village props
« on: December 14, 2012, 07:53:54 am »
Well, with the upcoming update I'd like to suggest to add more village props to the DLC. Like you had in MM_russia.
Its usefull for people who started mapping, and for maps which have few props, for high FPS.
