Connection to server is lost issue

Hey, I just bought the napoleonic DLC and im constantly losing connecting to the server where im playing on.
i can stay in-game for like 2-3 minutes and then it comes up with a message saying: 'Connection is lost to server'

Definitely bought it? Because the only reason I know for the server constantly disconnecting is for a pirated version of the game

I bought it on steam, but everytime i launch the game it says something to do with the cd key, it says when the game asks for it i need to fill it in. But it never asked me to do so, so how would i do it?

i found the problem, i've got a 4x4 cd key but steam needs a 5x5 cd key to activate, how can i fix it?

Gragnok:
I think it may be possible to convert legit 4x4 keys to 5x5 keys using a program but im not entirely sure.
