are u saying that I am not allowed to be power hungry

Glad you replied

When im on NW servers you are a main culprit, you are constantly spamming the big admin pink font across the screen saying things like `dont do this dont do that`.

The answer is always that you are preventing trolls from ruining peoples fun, but do you not think you are ruining the fun of the game and distracting players with big font popping up on the screen all the time

Well, what can you expect from him? He uses homophobic slurs in the groupfighting servers even when he is an admin in the official servers.. so ironic ..
An admin is supposed to be a example to follow for the rest of the players but in this case I don't think he even knows what means -ethic-
The system is broken clearly.

Are Groupfighting servers official servers? No, they are not, and they have their own ruleset, and most of the servers I go on I know the people who admin them or own them and they don't have a problem with it, they do not punish me nor the other's who use the same slurs. Or, as in the 91st Groupfighting Server, I follow the rules because they are similar to Official Servers. Don't try to make two servers the same when they are not.

If you don't like the server go play on another server. Don't see the big deal of this?

We people buy the game and have a right to play on any server we choose.

No you don't.

  • Don't like the Big Mac?  Go next door and get a Whopper.
  • No Burger King next door?  Go create your own burger restaurant.
  • Don't feel like going through all the hassle to make your own burger restaurant?  Then sit there and eat your Big Mac and stop telling the owner that they make a shitty burger.

Let's say I bought/hosts a server.
And I want to use it for private use. Such as regimental events and training. I wouldn't want pubbers in my server because they would mess up the event.

There are always official servers and always will be.
I've yet seen someone complain because they couldn't join that empty passworded server.

In every thread/discussion you manage to amaze me.

Couldn't agree more. I usually expect people on forums to be at least half-intelligent. Apparently, it's too much to ask for.

Secondly i am not defending trolls, i am merely questioning this gestapo like admin approach

You're right. You have every right to play on whatever server you want. However, take mind. These servers are still payed and hosted by other individuals. If people break rules on their server they have all right to punish you on whatever way they find it necessary. You break the rules on the official servers? To bad shouldn't have done it. You will be punished for it. Did you get banned from that server? Play on another server, believe me there are plenty of other servers hosted by different people, who won't stop you to play on their server.

Basicly. You have all rights, and very welcome to play on every server and it is all up to you if you stay welcome to those servers. There is absolute no one else to blame then you when you get banned from a server. Everyone has his chance, have fun while not breaking the rules and you will have a guarantee that you can play the game on a server. :)

Okay, well...I mean...What Is Your Solution?  Say you own a server that is frequented by trolls.  What would you do?

I'm very intrigued as to what the answer will be.

Ban the trolls, that doesn't concerns me. I am talking about the freedom of speech (which is inexistent) in the official servers.
However, as I have said before,

In every case, your roof, your rules.

Well, I believe that if your definition of freedom of speech is the ability to use words that are either of a racist, homophobic, or otherwise offensive manner, then there is really every reason to have rules in place banning use of words like these.

Those who are banned for using such terms, deserve it. It would cause too many problems to leave them unpunished, as there are many people, especially on Official Servers, who could take great offense to use of these words.

The argument raised in this thread holds no water, and I see no reason to allow it to continue when it can only lead to further argument. As a result, I'll be locking the thread shortly.
