Just after they withdrew their support of the Intervention? You do know they were in a civil war, at the time? Anyway, this is getting endlessy off-topic. Bottom-line, they don't look like Mexicans.

The 69th New York participated aswell as the other regiments in the Irish Brigade. Just scanend through the scene in the film again but cannot find a caption of that sort.
