Ive said this before somewhere, we do not really see BCoF and WoR competing with each other. Both games offer very different gameplay. The only similarity is that they are both set in the Civil War.

Like Olaf said, WoR and BCoF's devs have wildly varied ideas on how they want their game and community, so it is unlikely the two are competing for the same demographic. If you spend time on their forums you can tell the inherent differences between the communities.

Thanks for reminding me to unsubscribe from the emails.

What a pathetic excuse for a gaming company. 3 years of absolutely zero news, not a single message to let us know you were still working on it. Thank fuck I didn't donate, I feel sorry for the people that put their trust in you. Nobody is going to buy this shit game based on 2013 graphics when it finally releases in 2030.

Also the running animation looks like a Boston Dynamics robot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVlhMGQgDkY

Make it better? Having characters like this usually allows for better performance when it comes to having hundreds of people on a server, so I suppose there actually is some kind of an idea behind the general style.

Tbh I think the fact that they are going to continue out of their own money is more than respectable as well, so ye, I'm still kinda neutral when it comes to the whole thing, but it's nice to see they're actually still on it. Devs don't own Non-Donators anything, so....

What's the highest possible player count still 200-500? I'm intrigued I would like to see some one-on-one combat and maybe some shooting.

Yes we are aiming our player count to 500 players, from testing so far at least server side it is possible to reach this without delays. I'm personally more worried about graphical performance, but in due time we will perform test and naturally optimise where the bottle necks are to make the game perform good for everybody.
we will show more and more in the coming blogs.

Making all the units we have always kept 500 players in mind, so it should not be impossible to get it working client side too. I have tested 500 characters in full screen the other day and I had roughly 25-30 fps, which is not too bad considering they were not optimized.

So 500 Bots are going to perform the same as 500 people?

Wow, just got an email from this, after three years. Where will i begin, i created an account back in 2012, 6 years ago. It got banned, was permissed to make a new one, after an appeal. Back then Hinkel was just making an announcement on War of Rights, while you were doing pledges, pictures and what not, he started slow, i remember when everyone [Including myself] hated on him, for dividing the community. But what Hinkel did, was how you should have done it. He constantly updated, he constantly gave news, on where he was, and kept up with the community, completely alone. That gave him almost a million dollar pledge, thats what i call dedication. I dont wanna be the pessimist in the group, but i guess i have to.

Im sorry Olaf, and the crew. But its to late, it just really is, every regiment has went to WoR, all people that even made youtube videos, went to WoR. And this is not me gratifying WoR, because i havent even bought it myself. But what has happened, is that this community died a long time ago, it might be alive on this post. But it was dead for the past 4-5 years or so. Anyone that was around 2012-2013, knows that. I mean hell i made a thread asking about when we could see BCOF, and vincenzo actually thought that we would see it in 2013 or 2014, its 4 years later, and we havent gotten anything more then som videos, on how to crouch, something that is made years before, alpha is even mentioned. Its fucking sad, because i and many others really wanted you to do it. We really did, i mean you had so much potential, everyone was rooting for you. Hell even big youtubers were chanting your name.

The graphics, were good for 2012-2014, we are now in 2018, so much has changed. You lost your hype, and its sad, it really fucking is.

Like seriously, what the fuck happened, did Vincenzo decide to say fuck you, how can it gone so wrong, please do not delete this, im not trying to insult you. But if your gonna explain yourself, do it well and give us the bloody details, because right now we arent the ones insulting you, you are the ones pointing fuck you to us.

i have played games(like modern shooters) where after the door is opened, is just goes inside a wall to never be seen again for the rest of the round.  they claimed doors were too hard to do.  yet somehow the predecessors had the ability to do it.

Masterporn is right, devs out of respect to the community and espeacily donators should have been more transparent about their work throughout these years and simple sprint and crouch no more jumping (some few cosmetics too) blog is so unreliable in giving us the answers what real progress has been done, what trully kept you so busy for all those years, its not convincing enough that devs  "felt like spending time on game development instead of writing blogs". starting from 2015 dec 31 when alpha was released thats the progress news we get near end of 2018, from 2012 when donations were asked for development of the game it took 6 years to get to this blog(dissapointing). Cant wait for next gameplay blog to see what devs claim been working on throughout this silent 3 year period.

About transparency, we have been pushing more updates to the donators, but will now do this more publically as we are gearing up to a full game. :)

Lawrence, the same community you call cancer despite of only limited information we recieved, that told us little that game was actively developed at all, those same people you called cancer despite all those matters considered raised 17 thousand dollars to help and support the devs only to get news that tells us nothing what kept them so busy for all those years and i find your statement very offensive to all people who contributed.

And yes vincenzo regardless of the past we hope to hear real information on progress worthwile 3 year absence (if there is any)and not just another bunch of fancy words put together.

I had to deal with this particular brand of cronyism back in WoR's community too.  "Be happy you got something at all!" "You aren't owed anything!"

Developers better wise up to the fact that they owe their community everything, because without the community they have nothing.  This doesn't mean that the developers work for the community, or that they're beholden to them; but it does mean that the community is entitled to know that the time and energy they put into a game is being rewarded.  The community is a dev team's biggest source of income, hype, advertising, and feedback.

The developers of any game need to be happy they have a community at all.  Not the other way around.

We love our community naturally, it is what made us get together and finish this in the first place. also because of our love for the community we pushed out some NW patches. because we care.

I see that we kind of left you guys in the dark about BCoF and I'm sorry about that, but we were just not far enough with progress to push it out the door.

In the end you guys would have been disappointed too.

I'm glad were ready for releasing more and more info, and I hope you guys are there to watch it.

As long as we are not screwing over our fans by releasing some shitty Chinese mobile game like some other company is doing, i think were fine.
