The guy in the front rank on the right? Or have I misunderstood the original comment lol

the 60 years old man without a moustache :P I can kill for such a uniform
I recognise him but can't put a name to the face! I want to find a photo of the frenchman from the event who drew on sideburns and a mustache looked hilarious!

Aww thanks Cenkris for those kind words

What was most funny was at the end when I saw said mustache had smudged off the face and they looked like they had been eating gunpowder!

This field works. Did you guys put them up, or were they already there?

Actually those field are kept like that forever, well as long the owner keeps them. They just fix them if damaged or too low before the event.

http://www.resacabattlefield.org/FoRstart.html     http://www.civilwar.org/

These two organzigation helped alot, they take donations to purchase land that took part of battle, demolish anything modern on it and then recreate it like it was back then either donate it to state park or national park.  I think the reenactment part belonged to the State Park. Resaca State Park is actually brand new, havent been opened yet but was open last weekend for sneak preview.

Anyway, State Parks are the best. They largely encourage Civil War reenactment on original ground. Which is good for economy, the money we pay for, sutler[s regstriation, admission registration, and food sale all goes to the state park. Nice profit for them to keep up the work while NPS rarely allow event on original ground, when they do, its strictly non-battle event.

I wish we had those parks in Europe. Then again... Half of Europe would be a park... So yeah...

This guy has some good ideas. You should grow a iconic moustache, wear a uniform and give loud speeches in front of even louder crowds.

So much rain :D

Reminds me of waterloo 2 years ago!

(yeah I know it's not raining in this pic, but my god did it pour when it did. The Allied camp was waterlogged, it was awful!)

Hehe, everyone in the federal camp had issue with their site except us because one of our pard arrived early and didnt trust the camp being next to a creek. Reserved us a hill side to camp.
