the dead server!
You could join us for some fun during this annual and widely appreciated event, rather than basking in the fact NW multiplayer has been dying for the last few years.  :D
Here is a post-event image from last years Waterloo event. We still host a variety of events from the historical battles on accurate dates, monthly Jailbreak sessions, to VP4 tournaments as Kenway stated, and host additional permanent game servers in MC, Valheim, OpenTTD, etc.
Keep up with us via Twitter or Discord (since Steam announcements ain't working anymore).

Yeah, who else but NWRP. We'll always be here to force you to follow stupid gamemode rules in order to bring something more unique to the game than just repeating battle rounds over and other again, and when we do, we'll organize the best public battle rounds.
Foremost of all that's what we'll attempt to provide in BCoF as all our previously created gamemodes are adaptable to the game. Albeit, we're also looking for those interested in mapping to use their creative minds and make the first Jailbreak maps ready on launch.

Our website providing information about our community, gamemodes, etc: https://nwrp.eu
Our forums mainly used for unbans requests, complaints and admin applications: https://forums.nwrp.eu

The Dawn of the Campaign has arrived! Moves begin at 6pm BST. The event starts at 8pm BST.  Events will be on the NARC RP server.

As each turn ends, we will update the map and post moves in #narc-campaign-map-moves and on the website at https://nwrp.eu/campaign for all to see. Thus, everyone can follow what goes on in the map once each move has been done.
The moves end when we have a nice selection of rps to do for the event, or if we run out of time. Either way we have written scripts (interactive stories that prompt rps), to ensure guaranteed quality roleplays for the event.

Attached is a document of the rules.

Other Games / Re: Sword & Musket - A Bannerlord Napoleonic Mod - Q&A
« on: February 18, 2021, 10:27:52 pm »
I've been a little skeptic precisely due to a lack of an in-depth FAQ. The project proceeds great script and design-wise, but unfortunately it's left more to wish for on the community aspect. I don't know whether more information has been revealed in the Discord servers dynamic conversations and hidden in the history, but there are a few question I think everyone would benefit from knowing whether they are there, here or on TW forums.

1. Will the mod be made available free of charge?
2. Will the server files be made public free of charge?
3. Will you continue FSE:s non-intervention policy and leave all game rules/rule-breaking occurring up to server host/event admins/TW moderators?
4. Will there be general/officer classes enabling organized battles such as LB:s?
5. Will you allow further modification of the server files/open-source the code? E.g. in order for server scripters to optimize BL admin tools for S&M, and external plug-ins for tournaments?

Possibly the last battle of the campaign coming up this Saturday. Now is the time if you haven't joined any of our campaign battles yet and want to experience something massive other than the public melee or siege servers before the public sphere in the multiplayer DLC is dead.

UI looks cluttered, no ty
Probably just because OP has a weird customized look. This is the standard look without having any profiles/chats opened, or the spacing edited.

We're lacking responses from ~4 out of 64 individuals. Individuals who're not providing further contact details will be swapped with those who've provided it but are on the waiting list.
Provide further contact details via this forms: https://forms.gle/CrJMGxCm6DRhBLSs6 This has earlier been sent out to everyone via bulk mail on challonge.com as well as announced in several community discords. The sign up date may also be shortened since this been a smooth progress.

it's just because I sit on both sides, Ewok, I feel like this was a chance for minsiege players and nrp players to join together have fun and show there skill- but it almost feels as if it's going to be another comp tourney :(
There are group stages, and since people signed up at different stages of the tournament it means they end up with each others, if we look at the current bracket as of now:
6 JBR/NWP/NRP/PR champions might continue to the final stage.
2 FSE champions might continue to the final stage.

What you've done here is create a competitive tournament and opened it up to the competitive side of the community, without first even asking or talking to anyone of the competitive community or discussing how tournaments of this nature are best run and work.
I'm sorry if someone feel undermined or threatened, they do not have to sign up to the tournament if they don't want to participate in the way we've chosen to do things. It was announced here to inform the community, which certainly also got normies, users familiar with our servers and non-elite players. I find the apartheid between public servers and the private regimental/competitive sphere to be unnecessary. This playground doesn't belong solely to that entitled mother, but to all of us.

We've decided to run this tournament in a way appropriate for our public community. I cannot speak for other tournaments here but if we had mainly followed how tournaments are best to run and work here, then we probably would've ended up with a tournament which do already exist and which isn't appropriate for the public/na's/normies. We've discussed how it's going to look in our own leader group containing influential public NRP/NWP/NW players and allowed for insight by many others and just like them you may voice constructive critics, not just critics. Others may of course join the leader group if they are interested to actively help the development and doesn't find us public plebs to not be worthy of their expensive time.

First off duels are shit that's a fact. However I would still like to play anyway. Fastest combat speed is for Na's and laggy servers like public servers. And why does it take 42 days to do a single elimination duel tournament this is annoyingly complicated. I also don't know who any of these organisers or admins are so as a sign up how am I supposed to contact people or find server information?
If you took a moment to read the first post it's well-explained what responsibilities the management and referees has got, as well as what responsibilities we expect of the participants. We'll also confirm the identity of all participants a few days before the tournament starts, as it also says in the first post to help with the matchmaking should issues arise. The server details are also explicitly stated, though a password has not been shared yet as the tournament hasn't begun. The links to the referees redirect you to their steam profiles. The sponsored by links go to various communities discords, where there's always some people online whom are helpful with information and will redirect you to the right individuals. Also time estimate of 42 days is if someone always uses the last day of the 7 day deadline to fight their duels. Most of the duels might be over within the first week as there's no limit to how far you may go as long as your opponent is available.

It's obvious there is going to be some major skill gap but if you wanted to open up the competitive side better with the casual side I think group fighting would be more fun and maybe lower brackets for some of the tournaments that are hosting around here. I'd like to play in this tournament but I think you should collaborate with some competitive community individuals before you open a competitive tournament just so there is a better understanding of what's going on.
It's not obvious though as I cannot remember this being tried on a similarly large scale ever before. During my four years as a representative of the NRP server we've never been invited or asked to bring pubs to a tournament. We will wait to see what happens and may use this tournament as a guideline in the future should what you all fear happen. It'd be fun either way for us and a majority of our public participants has no issues with you joining, it's just Tommy here voicing his opinions who've come forth out of all. It's unfortunate that you guys don't have mutual feelings. Let's not worry about the future and see where things lead. I'm quite sure things are going to run smooth and overall be great.

99% of the comp community rarely play these servers this tournament is shambolic in both it’s deaign and how you’ve advertised it, it’s not for NRP Miniseige or jailbreak players anymore it’s for comp players bragging rights.
Great that a lot of people come together, whether it's due to bragging rights or just to partake in something that's so rarely planned by the public servers.
Currently 99% of signups are still historically/current active players on the servers. Some of these players do belong to regiments, so you could say the same about them. However, I never assumed that a lot of people was going to be interested in the tournament here, but I'd still like to announce it to the community. The tournament is designed according to our ordinary server settings, what some users here talked about when they mentioned fastest combat speed, but of course there has to be more specific rules to allow for a fair competitive setting. We may do other variants in the future and we've hosted the NRP Campaign three times for those who're more inclined to play competitive on a larger scale. The main similar design is the first to seven rounds, instead of having it be best of seven rounds as it originally was, and that's because a lot of our players advocated for it on the discord. :D

This was unexpected

Sorry, the bureaucracy might be slow, but announcements aren't. :-[

are these real people

Yes, most of the people who've already signed up belong to the public sphere within servers such as NRP and Minisiege as the event has just been announced there, and we've confirmed they are reachable.  ;)
