I love how cheap WWII is even for good quality stuff. Makes me cream my panties. Nowadays it's like you really have to try to get a bad quality uniform unless you went army surplus store shopping, in which case, shame on you.

I mean, you look at what people were wearing during the 90's and it's pretty much night and day.

I live in NYC, and there are tons of reenactors from all over the state.

67th New York Volunteers:

124th New York State Volunteers  (You have to be 17 to join but you can join if you're younger providing you have an older family member in the regiment

14th Brooklyn:

Here's a list of a bunch of regiments in the country. Scroll down to find NY.

Now most farbisms are incorrect items, everyone camo'd out (not talking about SS), modern glasses, and bad sewing. All of which is super easy to fix.

For example, this is my brother. Farb as hell. But I've sorted it out since then. Such as the American port arms, winter boots, and wearing a parka without the trousers.

Nope, must have been some other young guy.  :-\
I was the GI that got "captured" by the way. In case you where curious.

And for the sake of being on topic: I would recommend not buying anything else until you find a unit you'd like to join. For two main reasons:
1. They can (if they're half decent) point you in the right direction for accurate items.
2. The unit you choose may have had a special uniform/item they wore (like Hardee hats instead of Kepis).
