Now guys and dolls I know airsoft is not seen as "true" re-enactment (no gunpowder and all) but I just wanted to show you that now the earliest version of airsoft is now in the Napoleonic wars!

It's not about getting shot. It's the difference between trying to re-enact a period and live the life (as best as you can), and just dressing up in cheap stuff and shoot to each other with no respect to drill or authenticity

Cannons? You have to be kidding me...

anyway, the kind of people who this stuff are mostly the people re-enactors don't want, because they only care for shooting. So I guess it does have its bright sides.

Phew thank God I made a flintsoft thread not a WW2 airsoft. Bear in mind you can legally make and buy (aslong as you are 18) a flintsoft airsoft gun because it is before the 1850's ish the replica rifle law in the UK doesn't matter unlike American civil-war and onwards.

Do some re-enactment, talk to the people, understand how serious they are and how much time, effort and money they put in it, and then say again it's LARP.
