hello everyone !
If you don't already know, the IVe corps Event of the 21th december will be a very special one. In fact, on this week, we will celebrate with all of the attending regiments, and
the whole community in a certain way, the 6th anniversary of 7e Régiment de Hussards, first known as 2e Hussards, and of the IVe corps.
For this special occasion, we organise a conquest historical event on the Battle of Austerlitz and specifically on the assault of the Pratzen Heights by the IVe corps d'armée,
commanded by the Maréchal Soult.
So, for this event, we will play on a custom map, which was created fot this occasion by the servant du 9e régiment d'artillerie Spark-fram (and we thank him a lot for his work and
the time he takes to built that map), that will focus on the assault of the Heights but there will be some specific rules to get closer ton the historical facts.
So, those rules are: there are actually 5 flags on the map. The russian Empire will be able to capture 3 of then at the early begining which are the 3 at the top of the map.
Nor the one on the heights nor in the village in front of the russian first flag may be attacked by the russians at the begining.
The french voltigeurs will be the only ones able to rush the village to capture it. Once the village is taken, the russian may attack it. The rest of the French army may attack
the flag of the Heights and may attack the russian army once their advance on the village has begun (the french IVe corps attacked the russian advancing forces by surprise and
causes a large amount of casualties and broke the organisation of the assaulting russians).
Once the french main forces engaged the russians, the rules will be standard conquest rules (spwan only a main flag, being at leat 5 to move...) and usual IVe corps event rules.
There will be 2 victory way: the material victory (acquired by droping the ennemy tickets to 0) and the strategic victory (acquired by holding the two Heights flags, the one in the
small fort on the top and the other in the forest near the russian spawn).
To sumary: russians can take the 3 flags of the north of the map while the french skirmishers take place in the village and the main force march to the Pratzen Heigths. Russians may
attack the village once it's controlled by the french voltigeurs while the french main forces will need to way the russian forces to at leat begin they marche to the village to attack.
For this first part of the battle, russian forces must use the straight path from the russian spawn to the village, then every way to attack everything (except the spawn flags) will be allowed.
The rules of the historical part will be explained again during the first part of the event
We aleardy thanks you for attenting to this anniversary event, and do not forget to stay after the end of the conquest for a commemorative photo together :3
