Coconut water is just the liquid in coconuts and is in no way related to coconut milk, which is made from the actual fruity insides of the coconuts. I don't think it was meant to taste good.

Well, I like some coconut products, just like Bounty e.g. It's my favourite candy bar. Close before Snickers I think.
I tried coconut water once, was okay, but not that awesome. But coconut milk is fucking tasty
