More like if they see me shoot at them, they aren't going to ignore me and if they "have" to take their hit, they aren't going to just take off their helmet and sit on the ground.

Well if wasn't for the French Foreign Legion, France would have fell even quicker. And yes even though the British were there, the Germans was still putting up a heavy offense. Either way, France, Britain, and Canada all bleed together.  But then you got to think about the Eastern front which was far more bloody and brutal then the Western front.
