Edit: seems he renamed. But the name seems to be taken nonetheless

Since he never put the name on the regiment list it is free. Based on that poll everyone agrees you need to post there to claim a name. He didn't, we did so now it belongs to us.

As the leader of this group, I looked up Colonel Bangersandmash who leads the group which you have linked us to. The group he is now affiliated with is called "The 6th inniskilling Dragoons" which, in my opinion, doesn't sound or look anything like "51st (2nd Yorkshire West Riding) Regiment of Foot."

The entry "51st (2nd Yorkshire West Riding) Regiment of Foot [EU/NA]" now directs the user to this post and as there are no other groups on the official regiment list with the name "51st (2nd Yorkshire West Riding) Regiment of Foot" then we are free to assume that the name is free and we will be sticking with it now.

Myself and the other members of this community appreciate the help which you guys have given us and we feel that we have put enough effort in to researching and selecting an appropriate name.

Since where did it say they have to post on the regimental list? All they have to do it create a forum page and they have done so.

There is a poll on the list about it and most people agree that you need to post there to claim a name.

The name was not officially reserved on the list of regiments so as far as I'm concerned, the name was free.

Bangersandmash, if you personally would like to discuss this with me I'll add you on Steam or feel free to jump on Teamspeak and we'll come to a compromise but I'm not changing the name because people say that "One forum post and the name is reserved". Using that logic, one person could spam the forums with every group known to man and reserve the entirety of the British Army.

The issue will be resolved between Bangersandmash and I. I appreciate the input of other community members but as far as I'm concerned, it's nothing to do with you.
