Hello and Welcome to my little Wörkshop! Here You'll find my clientside modifications for NW
I won't take requests for Reskins
But It's not forbidden to make suggestions what my next reskin could be about
Basically You'll say whatever Unit you want and I make whatever Units I want

  • Redo the 25e As a more historical unit
• Fix British Reskins
  • Redo Regiment de Meuron
• Fix Rheinbund Reksins
  • Redo All of them as Reskins for the Rheinbund faction
• Fix / Redo the other Skins
  • Stadtregiment Basel
  • Pontifical Swiss Guard
  • 1stes Hannesisches
  • Finally fix and upload the fictional Teutonic Order Infantry Regiment
• Make single Unit Reksins from some Faction Reskins (maybe)
• Fix Faction Reskins and/or redo them as Reskinpacks for the Rheinbund faction (maybe)

Note 5. and 6. I might do. I'll make a Survey when its time for it.

Skins may or may not have hats visible while playing in first person.
(where impossible to solve it any other way I try to make them as invisible as possible for first person view)

Since this is now in the "Skins & OSP Resources" Childboard. Some stuff on here is for OSP use now.
I was also using OSP's for some of my Skins. If you use one of my Skins as a Resource for
your own creation you should also give credit to those people that I gave credit for providing
the resources I used. You shall not reupload an exact copy of one of my skins.
Please write a PM if possible that you use one of my Skins. I just want to know who is using my stuff.
All Skins with an "[OSP]"-Tag are free to use if credit is given correctly.
I also tag all my Skins that used OSP's from others with "[OSP used]"

The Regiment Nr.12 that is depicted got disbanded after the capitulation of 1806
and those Regiments were mostly still using Uniforms that were used in the seven years war until then.
After this the Prussian Military got heavily reformed and with it came a new Nr.12,
but the new/post 1806 Nr.12 is actually not the legal successor of the pre 1806 Nr.12.

Yes it's possible, you can merge them using OpenBRF. I think there is a tutorial lying around here, that Parrot made.

1. You could use OpenBRF and merge the Faction Reskin you want to basically a bigger Faction reskin containing 2 or more factions. -> thats the method mclovin wrote about

2. It might be possible to install all 4 of mine if you always use only the brf's of the Faction got replaced in the reskin
(Basically mmmaterials+mmtextures+mmaustrianuniforms+mmaustrianhats from Baden, mmfrenchuniforms+mmfrenchhats from Bayern, mmrussianuniforms+mmrussianhats from Württemberg, mmprussianuniforms+mmprussianhats from Westfalen + one of the britishuniforms brf in those reskins to fix the british officers and their pants.)
I haven't tried it but technically It could work since only my Reskin for Baden uses the mmmaterial and mmtextures.brf so that wouldn't intefere with the rest of the 3.

Downloaded it and noticed something, whenever you go in first person there seems to be some major issues with the hat/beret bobbing up and down in front of the screen and getting in the way

Er meh gesh, not again. This happens because he made the hat a part of the jacket so he could have different hats for different ranks within the unit. It's visible in first person since the abdomen doesn't have that invisibility like the regular hats.

Yep, there is ranker and officer shakos for the KGL unit slot so two berets, one colour for ranker/musicians and one colour for ensign/officer should work better in that case. The plumage colour is nice for the musicains besides the first person minor issue.

I found a slightly different solution: I just add the blue berets as hats and let the plumes stay part of the uniform. So in first person you'll only see a bit of the feather while walking. Currently uploading the edited version. (70% at the moment of posting this)

You can still see the feather, when you look up/you make a quick turn/sometimes when walking forward/or standing after making a quick turn.

after 1 hour of testing this is basically the biggest I saw the feather while walking around.
(by pressing W+D / W+A simultaneously or pressing just W and move the mouse a lot.)

Well that's good, also one more thing, you spelled "Pontifical Swiss Guard" as "Pontificial Swiss Guard" for the in-game menu, common mistake that most people seem to make when they try and spell it.

No. If I would make this kind of update to my faction reskins (which is impossible if I want those to remain as accurate as possible)
I'd actually write that into the thread of the faction reskin and change the version in the title of the thread.

Also any kind of update is not planned until I spot problems, big (or a lot of small) inaccuracies or I actually add music for those factions.

The hats and helmets of those reskins are going to stay the way they are.

Then you are not using winrar 5 or later.
I'll change all my faction reskins from rar5 to ordinary rar again.
(Since Internet speed isn't an issue for me anymore, files will get a bit larger though.)

EDIT2: No Faction reskins is in a RAR5 archive anymore.
So those should now work just nicely with anything that can open *.rar

I have the 25e skins, and with the greatcoat one the pants overlap the  coat for some reason with the ranker. Do you know how to fix this?

Reinstall it and this time don't screw with the *.brf's. There is no way you could get the right upper uniform, but the wrong pants by just installing the skin.

So it's incompatible with other skins? Or should I just copy paste the files first and then do whatever edits to other skins after?

The skin is compatible (as it is for download) with any other skin
that does not use mm_french_hats.brf and mm_french_uniforms.brf.
(I also have a mm_colours in there but that should be just some
nitpicky details It doesn't matter if that one gets overwritten by anything else.)

If you want to use it together with another reskin that uses these French *.brf files you'll have to merge them.

And for merging better look beforehand where the modified meshes in both of the brf files are.
(especially those that both use because your problem was then probably either accidentially
copying french_infantry_pants into the brf or the other mod uses french_infantry pants)

... and btw. if you clearly have modified the reskin yourself with (probably) another french reskin.

Update:

Added a reskin with 2 older Hannoverian Infantry Regiments aka "that red stuff"
Added the Regimental Reskin of the kk Nr.15

Currently both without pictures, they will be added soon,... at some point,... maybe.

Is there anyway you know to fix this? I've tried deleting similar.brf files that might be overwriting it, but all attempts so far have failed. The meckleburg officer pants are overwritten by pants that look similar to 8th officer or prussian artillerist pants.

Those are russian dragoon pants. they are in the mm_russian_uniforms.brf .
thats why originally there is a mm_russian_uniforms.brf and a mmbrituniforms.brf included.
So rename the russian dragoon pants (1 and 2) add them to all uniforms that are supposed to have them if thats the only issue of your merge.

And in general you can look up what units use the exact same item for pants in the "holy list of NW pants"
Shows exactly what units are affected by renaming or removing pants from one of the uniform .brfs

Fixed another batch of Skins:

From France:
- 111e Regiment d'Infanterie de ligne
- 12e Regiment d'Infanterie de ligne (as a white uniform)
- Bataillon de Tirailleurs Corses (brown and red)
From UK:
- 5th Regiment of Foot
- 12th Regiment of Foot
- 2nd Greek Light Infantry Regiment

Other Skins that were from those Factions are going to be worked on. the ones left from both the UK and France are:
- 25e Regiment d'Infanterie de ligne
- Regiment de Meuron (UK - Swiss Mercenary Regiment)
- Regiment von Scheither and Regiment von Reden (UK - Hannoverian Regiments that existed until Hannover was lost to Napoleon.)

EDIT: will now take some time to put everything in order in my German thread.
EDIT2: Everything up to date and maintained for the moment.
EDIT3: found the old Skinpack of the Nr.12: (replaces atleast unit for every faction (apart from the Rheinbund) that got the Number 12.)

The Nr.12 Skinpack got a rework.
(This used to be the actual Skinpack of the Infanterie Regiment von Braunschweig-Oels Nr. 12 (https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=38767.0))
This is also the first time a functioning version of the Skinpack is available over this Forum and not just the TS-Server the Regiment used to have.

Here again what units the Skinpack replaces:
Prussia:
- 8. Brandenburg to Infanterie Regiment Nr.12 Musketeers
- 23. Rheinisches to Infanterie Regiment Nr.12 Grenadiers
- Landwehr to Infanterie Regiment Nr.12 Musketeers (with grey Greatcoat)
- Freikorps to Infanterie Regiment Nr.12 Grenadiers (with grey Greatcoat)
UK:
- 5th KGL Infanterie to 12th Regiment of Foot
France:
- 45e Regiment d'Infanterie de ligne to Bataillon du Prince de Neuchatel (finally with their own shako and flag, musicians might not be accurate)
- Legion de la Vistule to 12e Regiment d'Infanterie de ligne (white Uniform)
Austria:
- Infanterie Regiment Freiherr von Wacquant Nr. 62 to Infanterie Regiment von Parmann Nr.12
- Grenzerregiment Oguliner Nr.3 to Grenzerregiment Deutschbanater Nr.12 (now finally in brown-blue as they were in reality)
Russia:
- Simbirskiy Pehotniy Polk to Koporskiy Pehotniy Polk (with brown (instead of a grey) Greatcoat)

The Skinpack also renames the corresponding units in the English and German Version of the Game. (since it has a troops.txt and a German troops.csv)
