The U.S stations 28,500 troops in South Korea as a deterrent against North Korea, and some South Koreans see the U.S. presence as a barrier toward a reunified Korea.

Massive job loss will take place, but if left allowed to, the market will adapt. I just don't want my job to be taken away from me, tbh.

This might be a small barrier indeed. When America occupies a country it won't leave it for a long time. Look at my nation.

However I don't think this justifies criminal assault.

This I agree.. there are twice as many forces still stationed in Germany.. which honestly after the end of ww2 and coming end of the Afghanistan war, we should not be spending billions there.  North Korea is too late, it's also about technicalities as those 2 countries are supposedly still at war, and. South Korea is an ally, along with the fact that NK threatens to nuke the us and South Korea every day.  Its a very small barrier to actual peace negotiations.  Which the North don't seem to care for.
