Fantasy RPGs
« on: December 02, 2012, 10:30:05 pm »
I've noticed that traditional, fantasy RPG games are slowly being replaced by action FPS games. Few games seem to set themselves in a LoTR/DnD style environment with monsters, dragons and realms. Would you like to see more games based of this style of game?

Not really. They just get too weird, like Skyrim was the limit, too fantasy oriented is just silly after a while.

Thats what i mean, Skyrim and the other Elder Scrolls games were good, but many "fantasy" RPGs that i see include ridiculous looking armour and swords and spaceships. You basically repeated what i said.  :P

What good LOTR RPGs are there? Sounds like something I'd like.

Medieval RPG's are dying out due to some crazy anime phase. Some armor in some of the newest RPG's makes me cringe. Spikes with attached spikes with skulls which glow pink. =/

Skyrim was great as that felt alot like playing DnD for me, because it went back to classic medieval RP roots.
