The Moskovsky Guards

Brief History

We could not find much about the history of the Moskovsky Guards Regiment, but we do know what wars and battles they fought in.
They fought in 1812 against Napoleon in the Battle of Borodino, but unfortunately we all know now that the battle was a loss to the Russian Empire, later in 1813, they fought in 3 battles,  Battle of Lützen, Battle of Bautzen, Battle of Dresden, Battle of Leipzig. After the Napoleonic Wars had finally ended and Napoleon was exiled out of Europe, they went on to fight the Turks in the Russian-Turkish war from 1828-1829. Afterwards, in the later years of the 19th century, they fought in 2 conflicts against the Poles, the first in the 1831 Uprising, and then again in 1863-1864. They fought the Turks again in 1877-1878, and that war was a victory to the Russians. And finally, the still intact regiment fought in the gory and horrifying, First World War, where they would lose hundreds, thousands of friends and soldiers along the way, to fight the Germans.

Regiments / 61e Regiment de Infanterie de Ligne (Disbanded!) Read!!!!!!
« on: November 16, 2014, 03:11:55 pm »
We have disbanded due to a stupid person named Yuri. He has taken 90% of my members and has made his own cav regiment behind my back. I am telling everyone to leave him as all of them are mine!! The East India Company regiment are merging into us really soon though and we are making a new regiment with duo command. The name is now up for grabs. If you would like to help us in any way, I think Yuri's stolen regiment is named the 5th cav or something and he is a really bad leader in administration. I really hope this gets sorted out. Thank you in advance.

1er Régiment de Tirailleurs de la Garde Impériale

Welcome!

About Us

We are a French Napoleonic regiment based on the Napoleonic Wars. We have started fairly recently but that won't stop the mighty French legion marching through all of Europe. We are mainly EU based and play EU events and trainings but that doesen't mean we don't let in the NA players. Of course, we allow anyone in that is mature and willing to contribute to this regiment. We will soon host our own in-game server probably under 50 slots mainly for training and just for fun to the public.

History of the 1er

Spring 1809 found Napoleon still in an economising mood. The news that the new regiment cost half a million francs less than its line counterpart led to the sanctioning of new regiments. Thus, on 29 March, Napoleon ordered the creation of two new regiments, one the Grenadiers-Conscrit, the other Tirailleur-Chasseurs. Soon after, on 31 March, the 2nd Regiment of Grenadiers-Conscits were raised, along with two regiments of Chasseurs-Conscrit. Two more regiments were formed on 25 April, the 2nd Regiments of Tirailleur-Grenadiers and Tirailleur-Chasseurs. These regiments were formed hastily for the war against Austria, and were unable to take part in the campaign. They were to be commanded by a major, and to be composed of two battalions, each of six (later four) companies of 200 men, for a total of 1600 soldiers. Half of the men were to come from the conscripts of the Guard, other half was to be taken on the conscripts of the reserve of 1810. The major and the two heads of battalion were to be drawn from the officers of Grenadiers or Chasseurs of the Guard; the company captaines from the Fusiliers who retained there higher status, pay and uniforms. The second lieutenants came from the Saint-Cyr Military School (2 per company). Each battalion had one of them acting a Adjutant. There was thus no lieutenants in the regiment, but two sous-lieutenants, though the decree provided that the post would be selected among these young officers, once they had served for two years and taken part in a campaign. The Regiments of Fusilier-Grenadiers and Chasseurs were to provide the framework as NCO’s and corporals: a sergent major, 4 sergeants, a corporal fourrier and 8 corporals per company, also two adjudant-sous-officiers per battalion.  In all 450 men were transferred from the Fusilier-Grenadiers. The conscrits were drawn from the line conscripts of 1809 and reserve of 1810, and after 2 years service, could be admitted to the Fusiliers; and after four more in to the Grenadiers and Chasseurs-á-Pied.  The Fusilier regiments also supplied the officers for the regiments staff, the Capitaine-Adjutant-Major, Officier Payeur and Lieutenant-Adjutant-Major.

New Roleplaying Mod

Well, as you have read from the title, I will be talking about a new mod for Napoleonic Wars. I am new to map making, however I still do it. I have been requested from a lot of people from the Napoleonic Roleplay Server (I'm admin on it) to make a massive Town RP map. However, if a few skillfull people would volounteer to put some time and effort into a mod with me, it would be greatly appreciated. I am like for scripters etc. I can make the maps myself but I need more people to make this mod succesful. The idea of the mod is, to make this like Persistant World, but in the Napoleonic Wars era and slightly different. Yes you would have money to buy things like food and weapons etc. But, let's say for an example, in PW and PF, you need to pay if you want to trian to be a soldier and you need to buy your own weapons. In this mod, when you train to be that soldier (which would be for free) you would get the weapons and uniform instantly for free. Because, some people find it very annoying when they get shot after they have just spent loads of money on weapons and armour and they just lose it. So, I have loads of ideas like these but I have quite a big one, about housing. When you have enough money, you can go to a vendor/shop, and buy a house. Then which you have a house number and you receive the keys to your new home. It would have lots of things like a piano and a fireplace (the fireplace would have some options as well) and of course a bed. These are just little things designed to make the mod better. There would be also lots more features like farming (including a house there), church sermons, duels and much more. There would be a faction for Highwaymen as well so when you train to be one of them, you get your clothes and a bandana and depending on your class, a musket or a pistol or a horse or a sword, lots of different things. This is just a brief overview of what I had in mind in order to make a successful mod. However, for this I would need willing volounteers to help me. If you consider taking part in this mod, please contact Largoras on steam.

So, yes I'm in a regiment and I am a captain (4th in command) for the 1st Yorkshire Lights. But however, I would love to be a mercenary for a few regiments like be with them for a few events and stuff. Especially for regiments that need more players for their events. I don't care which regiment it is, as long as it is in the EU I can marc for you on any day except  Thursday and Saturday. If you are interested then leave a comment or add Largoras on steam.

Regiments / 4e Regiment d’Infanterie Suisse ALIVE ONCE AGAIN

4e Regiment d’Infanterie Suisse

Description

The French Revolution abolished mercenary troops in its citizen army but Napoleon used them. The Swiss served loyally so long as they were paid regularly. There was saying "No money, no Swiss." They were well trained and disiplined. Their musket volleys were perfectly controlled, their shots well aimed. French General Merle said: "it was pity that the Swiss couldn't handle two muskets at once, if they only could he would issue them". The brave Marshal Lannes was titular colonel of the Swiss troops in the French service. The Swiss served Napoleon well, in 1812 they distinguished themselves in Russia. The only setbacks they suffered were at Maida and at Baylen where after some fighting they surrendered to the Spanish troops. (The French provisional and reserve troops and the Guard Marines did surrender too.)While Napoleon was exiled on Elba (1814-1815) the grenadier companies of the Swiss regiments in French service served as part of King Louis XVIII's royal guard.

Regiments / 1st Semenovsky Guards (Recruiting) [EU]
« on: April 01, 2014, 06:39:06 pm »
1st Semenovsky Guards

Semenovsky Life Guards Regiment, one of the two oldest infantry guards regiments (along with Preobrazhensky Life Guards Regiment), its history dates back to 1683 (from "poteshny (toy, amusement) regiments" of Tsar Peter the Great), in 1700 designated the Semenovsky Life Guards Regiment (after a village of Semenovskoe near Moscow, where it was initially stationed).
During the Great Northern War 1700-21 the regiment fought heroically at Narva in 1700, in 1703 excelled in the siege of Nyenschantz and capture of the Swedish fleet at the mouth of the Neva River, took part in the Prut campaign 1711; a number of its sub-divisions operated in the wars with Turkey (1735-39) and Sweden (1741-43 and 1788-90).
The entire regiment participated in the wars with France (1805, 1806-07, 1812-14), and Turkey (1828-29 and 1877-78).
During WW I of 1914-18 the regiment was dispatched to the South-Western front as part of the 1st Guards Infantry Division; the reserve battalion, which remained in Petrograd, was added in the summer 1917 into the guards Semenovsky reserve regiment. Unrest occurred in the regiment in 1820 (see Semenovskaya Affair, 1820).
By the decree of Emperor Alexander I the regiment was disbanded and raised anew from soldiers of grenadier regiments.
In 1905 the Semenovsky regiment participated in quelling of the December armed uprising in Moscow, its detachment carried out a punitive expedition along the Moscow-Kazan railway.
Regiment commander Major General G.A. Min, who conducted this operation, was killed by a member of the Socialist revolutionary Party Z.V. Konnoplyannikova on the platform of New Peterhof train station in 1906.
In March 1918 the Semenovsky regiment returned from the battlefront to Petrograd and both regiments were disbanded the same month.
From 1723 the regiment was quartered in St. Petersburg, from 1739 - in the regiment settlement on the territory between the present day Zagorodny Avenue, Zvenigorodskaya Street, Obvodny Canal and Moskovsky Avenue (see Semenovtsy ).
In 1797-1809 on the territory around the regiment parade grounds (nowadays Pionerskaya Square), regimental barracks were built (architect F.I. Volkov under the guidance of architect F. I. Demertsov) along Zagorodny Avenue, Ruzovskaya Street and Zvenigorodskaya Street. The regimental chapel is the Presentation of the Holy Virgin Cathedral, destroyed in 1932.
The Semenovsky Regiment gave names to the Semenovsky Bridge over the Fontanka River and the Semenovskaya Square.

                                                                      History

The 27th Innskilling was a regiment formed in Ireland in the year of 1689. The regiment was formed as a local mallitia to fight the war in Ireland against James the second in the Williamite war. They fought so good at the battle of Newtownbutler that it got them a place in the English establishment as a regular infantary unit and fought at the battle of Boyne. In the 7 years war, the regiment fought against France in North America. Then they fought at the battles of the Jacobite rising at the battles of Falkirk and Culloden in 1745. they then returned to North America. They fought at Alexandria in 1801 against the French and that led to the battle of Waterloo in 1815.
