So after nearly two years in the Israeli Military, I saw my mother for the first time :)

My mother wanted something to bring back to the United States, so we had this done of me.

Opinions? I feel the artist made me look a tad French, but I think it's fantastic nonetheless!

That's what you get for wearing a beret, you cheese eating surrender monkey.

You make me lose hope of ever drawing again.

It's really not very difficult to copy photographs and turn them into drawings, literally anyone can teach themselves how to do that.

This shit again...
Reminds me of 4chan's /ic, where they seem to think that every great master used camera obscura and couldnt draw without it.
There's only a chance that Vermeer used it, due to the small size of his works.
Doesn't mean that everyone else did instead of painting all the fucking time and getting better.
And then today they project that onto every modern artist being photobashing and not being able to draw.
Sorry for the rant.

Side note, my father saw some of his works back when he was working in NY. Said that they aren't very impressive, their size contributing to that.

I have to agree with this. Sure I can draw on a technical level, ie copying from a photograph, but if I try drawing something from my head it'll look like a mess.

Except trees, I like trees.
