Very nice Hinkkel, although I notice a lack of something, I can't quite put my finger on it, but the head seems to be missing something ;)

My great grandfather was a German Fallschirmjaeger Oberst. He too, did not follow the extreme of the Nazi officers. He simply fought, and died, for the Fatherland. In fact, during a drop mission, he was shot out of the sky. His parachute was shot to shit by American Flak and he unfortunately plummeted to his death at 4,000 feet. It really sucks. I couldn't imagine the feeling knowing that when you hit the ground, you'll turn into jello.

That sucks, big time. Where did he serve, if I may ask?

I actually don't know. My grandfather was so ashamed of his father that he burnt everything including the uniforms, records, medals, etc. I'd have to ask him, I'm sure he would know. However, he doesn't really associate himself with my family anymore. Which sucks, but... what are you going to do? Some people just don't care for anyone but themselves. All I can think of is that my great grandfather was killed during the German counter-aggression into France after liberation. There were some Fallschirmjaeger drop missions during that time, especially near Carentan.

My great grandfather was actually a very decorated war hero after WWI. He rose to the rank of Colonel after "The Great War."

Hmm, looking in deep on my history of family members. My grandfathers father only served on as a guardsmen. But his grandfather served in the Peninsular Campaign. He was assigned officer of a guerrilla troop. He sadly died when the french cav charged his line (or skirmish). But i believe he met Wellington. Sadly no letters found.
The first modder for NW.

Volunteer infantry 'Guerrilla', or merciless killers 'Guerrilla'?

My avatar was hand-drawn by CapturedJoe. Love it and have been using it for ages - shame he doesn't post here, he was brilliant!

So Japan did you go to college for art?  Those are some pretty advanced lighting techniques you use there.
