About the 22e

We are an active North American Regiment who prides themselves on both skill and execution of orders. The 22e was formed by old Pulk members with common goals of being "good" at Napoleonic Wars. We have been slowly growing to over 60 members. The 22e brings over 25 members to our events! We also have our own teamspeak that we share with other regiments. The 22e is filled with a bunch of different type of people, aswell as people from abroad countries.

History

22 th Infantry Regiment traces its origins under the monarchy in the creation of the Regiment of Vienna in 1776, itself formed from 2 e and 4 th Battalion of the Regiment de Guyenne. From 1776 to 1783 he was stationed in Martinique where he fought against the English. Then garrisoned at Boulogne, Calais and Dunkirk from 1788. After the revolution in 1791, it becomes 22 th Infantry Regiment of the line. In 1792 he was stationed in Saint-Omer. He participated in the expedition of Trier in the army of 22 RI flagthe Moselle and the same year, his 1 st Battalion at Valmy, while the 2 nd fights Jemmapes and participated in the siege of Lille. In 1793, it fought in the north Hondschoote. Then, a reorganization amalgam in 44 th Demi Brigade line in 1796. In 1794, it is found in the northern army, and in 1798 she participated in the campaign in Egypt where it fought in the Battle of the Pyramids on July 21. In 1800, it is in Montebello and Marengo. In 1803, it becomes regiment. From 1806 to 1807, the unit fought against the Prussians and Russians and in 1813 it was in Germany where she illustrates Lützen and took part in the Battle of Leipzig from 16 to 19 October. The regiment fought in Maastricht in 1814 and dissolved in 1815. The regiment was reconstituted in 1820 from elements of the Legion d'Isère and in 1832, he fought in Spain and Belgium, Antwerp, before being sent to Algeria to participate in the conquest of 1839-1846. In 1847, income in Metropolis, he is stationed in Lyon. Moved several times, he participated in the Italian campaign in 1859.

Regiments / 1st Regiment of Foot Guards "The Grenadier Guards" [Recruiting NA] #nwisded

History The Peninsular War 1808-1814 : At the beginning of the 19th century, Britain was busy preparing for Napoleon's invasion, but after Trafalgar the government felt confident enough to send a force to occupy Sicily in 1805. This force included the 1st Guards Brigade (1st and 3rd Battalions 1st Guards). But in 1808 there was more important work to be done. The Brigade, part of a 13,000 strong force, was sent to the Peninsula to reinforce Wellesley's army which had successfully driven the French from Portugal. They landed at Corunna and marched inland to join up with Sir John Moore's 20,000. They then moved north to fight Soult's army beyond Valladolid but on Christmas day news arrived that Napoleon himself was leading a superior force to cut them off from their base at Corunna. Moore had no choice but to retreat to Corunna and save the Army. Corunna 1808 : The story of the retreat to Corunna is a harrowing one. It was the middle of winter and they had to cross mountainous terrain with little food and tattered clothing. The trek took nearly three weeks and there were successful rearguard actions by the cavalry. The two battalions of Guards arrived at the port, apparently marching in step behind their corps of drums, setting a fine example to the rest of the army and helping to raise morale. A few days later the battle of Corunna started when the French took advantage of the late arrival of the British fleet, and attacked. Soult's men were strongly resisted and eventually retired but not before Moore was fatally wounded on 17th January 1809. Barrosa 1811 : The 1st Guards returned to Spain in 1810 where they found themselves besieged in Cadiz. The composite brigade was commanded by Major-General Dilkes of the 3rd Guards. There were 6 companies of the 2nd Battalion and 3 companies each from the other two Guards regiments. On the 5th March 1811 they, with some Spanish troops, were sent up the coast to attack Victor's army. They were separated from the Spanish so had to fight two French Divisions alone. They had just completed a 15 hour march but managed to defeat a force of cavalry and infantry from a strong defensive position. The attack was headed by the 1st Guards and cost them a third of their number after an hour and a half of bitter fighting.When the two year siege of Cadiz was lifted the Brigade made their way to join a further influx of Guards who were wintering at Cuidad Rodrigo. They were the 1st Battalion of the 1st Guards. Wellesley, now the Duke of Wellington was in command of the army and formed two Guards Brigades: 1st Brigade under Maj-Gen Howard of the Coldstream Guards to consist of 1st and 3rd Battalion 1st Guards and the composite battalion of Coldstream and 3rd Guards. 2nd Brigade under Maj-Gen the Hon E Stopford of the 3rd Guards, to consist of the 1st Battalions of the Coldstream and 3rd Guards. The army moved north to drive the French from Spain. There was a 3 month delay while they besieged San Sebastian Bayonne 1814 : Napoleon abdicated on 5th April 1814 and was banished to Elba. But the news did not reach Wellington, or Soult in Toulouse, until a week later. So the Battle of Toulouse was fought unnecessarily. The Guards were not in that fight but they suffered very badly when the French made a night-time sortie from Bayonne and attacked the British with 6,000 men. The two Guards Brigades fought very hard in a confused battle in the dark and sustained 506 casualties. The irony was that the French commander, Thourenot, had heard of Napoleon's departure but refused to accept it. There is still a Guards cemetery at Bayonne. Waterloo 1815 : Napoleon's last hundred days brought about the most famous battle in European history. When he escaped from Elba on 26th February and entered Paris on 20th March, he was able to raise an army of 123,000. Wellington had to work fast to raise enough seasoned troops to stop him but he was disappointed with the men available. There were not enough 1st battalions from the infantry regiments. His final tally of 106,000 was made up of Belgian, Dutch and German allies as well as the British troops. The British infantry that fought at Waterloo numbered 17,000. Of these, 3,836 were Foot Guards. The Guards were organised in two brigades in the 1st Division. The 1st Brigade was made up of the 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the 1st Guards, and the 2nd Brigade consisted of Coldstreamers and Scots Guards. Major-General Peregrine Maitland commanded the 1st Guards Brigade whose strength was: 2/1st Guards, 29 officers and 752 men, and 3/1st Guards, 29 officers and 818 men. Each battalion had about 40 sergeants and 20 drummers. Hougoumont : Lord Saltoun commanded the two Light Companies of the 1st Guards who were ordered to hold the garden and orchard of the chateau while the other two Light Companies of the Coldstream and Scots Guards were commanded by Lt-Col James Macdonnell, responsible for the buildings. The night had been spent by all of these men busily fortifying the buildings ready for an attack early on the 18th. But Napoleon delayed his advance on the allies so the first attack did not happen until 1100 hrs. The 1st Guards held the orchard but the brunt of the attack was taken by the Coldstream and Scots Guards who fought with great heroism all afternoon. The 1stFG is a fresh name to an older regiment.  The 22eme Régiment d'Infanterie was formed early May, 2013 for pieces of the Pulk Sibirskii. We renamed for many reasons, mainly to deal with trolls, and because of a change of leadership. In the year that we've been a regiment, we have had many intresting and fun people in our ranks. Our current leadership stands as Praetorian as Colonel and JESUS as Lieutenant-Colonel. We maintain over 15 people per event. The 1stFG constantly tries to better itself and others around us. We can attend anywhere from 2 to 5 events a week. Each with a fun atmosphere. We take pride on being a laid-back regiment, but we're serious when it counts. We own our own teamspeak which we share with the Nr11. We almost always have people on playing games! Feel free to stop in anytime! The 1stFG uses multiple companies with the majority of our members in the Center Company. Our three separate companies are guard, center, and recruit. Center's main advantage is it's number, while the Guard Company has the superior melee skill. The Recruit company is for the training of the newer members who don't fully understand commands. Events: EU / 22e Saturday Linebattle [NA] 8PM EST - Slots open! *Swapped to Saturday*

The 22e is proud to present our second linebattle event that will be hosted on Saturday at 8PM Eastern Standard Time. What makes us different from the other NA events is that this event will only have between 120-160 numbers in total to prevent lag. We will not be accepting any specialist roles in order to keep the gameplay fun and balanced. We will have active admins sitting in spectator to make sure everyone is following the rules. The rounds will be played on either custom maps or random medium maps to prevent teams from hillcamping and to keep the gameplay fast and fun. We will only accept regiments with a minimum of 15 attendance so there aren't a bunch of small lines running around, we will however make exceptions.

Infantry Rules

- No firing on charge!
- No firing out of line!
- No rambos
- Must be a Line Inf/Foot Guard unit. (No Light inf)
- No crouching (Even if not in combat)
- Only 2 officer units per line* (*= If you school to split lines you may have more)
- For a line to fire it must have 3 people.
- If your line falls below 3 people you will be forced to charge or join up with another line

General Rules

- Must have over 12 average attendance to attend. (Anything under we will not accept)
- Maps will be medium desert/snow or a custom map
- No Sappers!
- Do not delay
- Go your correct team/unit
- No Spam

Server will be [22e]Public or [22e]Groupfighting. The password will be handed out the day of the event. Basic Rules

• No Ramboing
• No spamming
• No purposely tking
• No lying to an admin
• Must go assigned nation and troop
• Must have regiment tags.

Rules for line inf.

• No Firing out of line!
• A line must be 3 people.
• No Firing on charge
• Must be Line inf/Foot Guard.
• No Crouching (Even if not in combat)
• No sappers for Inf (But they can use stuff that a sapper for arty has made.)

Rules for Cavalry

• Minimum 5
• Maximum is 15
• No lancers
• Dragoons must be in a halted line to fire.
• If there are under 3 men left, you must join a friendly line.

Rules for Skirmishers/Rifles

• Can only crouch if in skirm formation
• No Firing on Charge
• Must be Rifles/Skirms or Light Inf
• Light Infantry must move in a line but can fire in skirmisher formation
• No sappers!
• No firing out of line!
• Minimum for Skirmishers is 6 people.
• Maximum for skirmishers is 16 people.

Rules for Artillery

• Minimum is 5 people
• Maximum is 15 people
• May have a sapper!
• Cannons must be within 50 meters of each other
• Artillery Guards must go foot guard
• Only 2 artillery pieces allowed
• May only use cannon!!!!
• Guards may not FOL, and they must stay within the defenses that the sapper has made.
