You literally just said the same thing. Funding a game and funding drug research both require highly skilled individuals working towards a specific goal. More money can be put towards more researchers (or even just lab techs), greater automation for creating drug libraries or driving the costs of drugs down for consumers. Not that I recommend donating to pharmaceutical companies in general.
The way to do it properly is like what the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation does.

And on that note I'd probably do something similar to them. Use it to create incentives for research and development to improve health and quality of life in developing nations. I'd also use it to fund my studies, god knows they'll cost me enough.

I would keep half for me, give 1/4 to my family and friends, and with the last 1/4 I would buy bullets for the Kurds.

With my part, I would probably buy a Lada 4x4 Urban and invest in housing.
