Welcome to The Black Hat BrigadeThe Iron Brigade, also known as The Black Hats, Black Hat Brigade, Iron Brigade of the West, and originally King's Wisconsin Brigade was an infantry brigade in the Union Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. Although it fought entirely in the Eastern Theater, it was composed of regiments from three Western states that are now within the region of the Midwest. Noted for its strong discipline, its unique uniform appearance and its tenacious fighting ability, the Iron Brigade suffered the highest percentage of casualties of any brigade in the war.

24th Michigan Infantry RegimentA strong Infantry force working closely with the 2nd Wisconsin focusing on fast paced formations and aggressive melee tactics. The 24th is a newly formed regiment looking for able bodied men!
2nd Wisconsin Infantry RegimentWe are a strong Infantry force focused on fast paced formations and aggressive melee tactics that only get us killed 60 percent of the time!
2nd Wisconsin Cavalry RegimentThe 2nd Wisconsin currently fields a new Cavalry detachment within our ranks. We have specialized uniforms and leadership within the detachment!
Battery B, 4th U.S Light ArtilleryWe now field Artillery as well, we have specialized Uniforms and Leadership within the detachment!
