Olaf got his at Derbishire Arms indeed.

Their India made guns that they proofed for firing.

Personally after seeing it, I'm really leaning against getting a pedersoli... at some point.. Which sets you back 1100 euro..

The reason being that the quality is mediocre with India guns...

Derbyshire Arms are absolutely crap... the number of new guns that people in our unit have bought that have gone wrong within an event is ridiculous.

If you're buying new and in the UK I'd recommend Henry Kranks tbh

Hmmm, I'll check them out then, I'll ask around the unit and make a decision, one of our members got a charleville from Derbyshire last year and he's been alright.

I got my baker from kranks. Never had a problem with it. The only thing that it didn't come with was a browned barrel but they provided the stuff to do that with. Compare that with one of our guys who got a Derbyshire rifle... Only fired half the time with a hardened frizzen. And then the screw holding the hammer on sheared off and the hammer fell off. Plus the frizzen fell off at Waterloo in 2012. He's not had any luck with that one. Brought one from kranks and hasn't had any problems

Kranks also offers india made muskets... i think their pedersoli line is what your pointing at, but thats basically pedersoli which you can get everywhere.

And is obviously of better quality.

Yeah I'd have to see how far t'North it is, they do have charleville bayonets it seems, got some other good stuff on there too for cleaning and a gun bag, hmmmm decisions, suppose I can get flints and flint leathers from derbyshire arms, HMMMMMMMMMMMMM. What to do.

From what I've seen Olafson receive and the story from barnesy, I would go with the advice provided, if indeed Kranks get the best india made guns to sell, then go for them.

They do have flints;

I believe though that they can ship to your nearest gun dealer to save on a journey, although that might just be a figment of my imagination

Ah, thats 147 miles from me, 20 or so more miles than I travel to an event on average, could make the trip if it came down to it I suppose.
