Nearly all Osttruppen were Soviet POW's conscripted into German service. The 882nd takes a special place in my heart because they had a rebellion against the Germans in '45, on the Dutch island of Texel. Where I've enjoyed spending quite a few summers.

Good deal, I've seen repros goes for 60 or 65. The fact you got original for 55, very nice. Hope you actually use it. Some unit spend 100 and don't use it. What a waste lol.

A reenactment comrade of mine said a few weeks ago that he want to take part at a reenactment in Theresienstadt and I wanted to say first like: "WTF DUDE? What is wrong wth u and the czech guys to reenact such a thing?" but my friend was faster and said that it is an 7 years war reenactment

Yeah. I find their history quite interesting. They weren't heroes, nor elite, they were just survivors. The rebellion was brutal and bloody, and still quite a lot of the men got sent to the gulags.

I mean, these guys were fucked by the Nazis, the Commies and the Western allies. They wére the underdog. Just...perfect. Zaaaaac...do you have a uniform picture?

Heh, the 275th (my unit) were mostly members of 709th before 275th formed. There's couple of photos of them on their FB. I can go look and pass it on to you.

Oh btw. Talking about reenacting group not the originals. Just reread it and may sound like I was talking about the actual division. The 275th are bunch of German teens. Not slavics
