Meh...my shoes are actually just modern shoes. The model of riding shoes just barely changed. Nowadays we call them George boots. Our corporal just found a site where they sell them with the correct visible outer stitching, and doonneeee. They look like the things, they feel like the things, and they are made from the same material as the things. The only difference being that these aren't handmade. Ah well. Farb? Nah. I don't think so.
We are one of the few cavalry groups that do not wear only parade dress. In the field, we wear the campaign dress. During drills, we wear the exercise dress. In fact, you don't even have to get the parade dress (which includes a whooole new set of expensive trousers) as that's only to be worn in a parade which we don't have that much. But people tend to still get it cos it's so fancyyyyy
