Sine my dad and I reenact together and only have one rifle between us and we decided to buy a new one. Going to go for a new Springfield and trade my old Springfield for a friends Enfield.
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

I paid for a couple weeks ago my Habite Veste, £270, I am now saving up for a Charleville musket and everything needed to keep it, maintain it, clean it etc.

Theres different gun makers I suppose I could use, but I think the one I will get mine from and that seems the most used by reenactors is Derbyshire Arms.

They "buy" them in the British museum.

What's the next thing I am going to buy?
Easter egg
Pointless game in steam sale
Some bread
Tea bags
Teamspeak monthly payment
Hmm, ah, cat food
A cat to eat the cat food

I think that's it

Nope, Netherlands,

Bought leather shoes for reenactment today, they look a lot like the historical accurate ones, but actually are better to walk on.
Gaitors cover most of them anyway.

Bah, comfort.
I find my leather soled boots are awful on modern paving, but really easy to move in on grass. No grip, though, so practicing movement if the ground's slippy will be interesting.

In other news, just ordered myself two shirts and a linen coif.
Considering whether to buy a long cote or just get some cloth and try my hand at making a tunic now.

I must confess the majority of our guys use ACW Brogans... they look the part and are fairly comfortable, only thing I wish they had was a bit of ankle support as I'm one whose prone to turning their ankle!

I was stupid enough to buy shoes that are a little too big, a bit uncomfortable, but for now acceptable.

I've also got a pair that are medieval shoes, but great for summer cause they're not big clompy things!
Which reminds me, I'm going to need to get my brogans resoled this season, hobnails hurt when they come through!

I'm a little dubious about the "medieval" shoes, honestly.
I guess they'll pass better than modern shoes but they won't exactly be close.

And if they're black leather they're farby as hell for medieval, so I disapprove anyway.

Indeed. Only cavalry wore those, damn it!
