The 14e Regiment d'Infanterie de Ligne is mostly a story of friendshipand amazing teamwork between five senior members for over 3 years. It's also more than a hundred members who valiantly fought at our side, the bravest of them being promoted to the highest responsabilities. Victories, defeats, but always with the outmost pride. These are the results of a neverending quest for excellency, loyalty, honor in most cases, and bravery, always.I could not summarize an incredibly rich of events story with only a few lines. I shall speak about the major moments of our goal to reach the summits.October, the 14th of 2011 marks the beginning, when everything was yet to be done. Less than three years later, the 14e proudly brandishes it's Champion title. This incredible achievement for a small French speaking regiment is the product of a several steps planning. The first was to gain the respect of the French community, then to be a major part of it and finally to be at the top of it. To me, this goal was reached by the end of 2012. The 14e could now turn it's ambitions upon the International community. Our first steps were quiet shy but the results were the reward of our hard commitment. The victory against the 91st in Melee Tournament, by the end of 2013, was a turning point. The holy road to victory was now open...The Napoleonic Wars League served our purpose, being able to prove ourselves more quickly. Confrontations and victories followed. We only stumbled against the greatest at the time :17e or Nr.24... Still, this gave the sweetest taste to the most prestigious victory of our history : the NWL title at the end of the 2013-2014 season.As for today, we are still involved on a very high level tournament, where victory has not yet chosen it's side for the competitors are quite a challenge to each others. What is left for us to prove ? Nothing. The 14e can, without a doubt, claim that it has accomplished all it aimed at. We did it and we show it proudly on our banners. With all that in mind, we now wish to focus on multigaming. So, it seems that time has come for the 14e, tired after so hard fought battles, and so we shall proudly drop our weapons and flags into our Hall of Fame at the end of this NWL season, in the same way our glorious elders did in 1815. This decision means less time spent on Napoleonic Wars, where we will maybe show ourselves from time to time on some battlefields with not such competitivity at stake.
