Well Saturday everything that could have gone wrong kinda went wrong
So to start off apologies for the very late start, sorry for the people that didn't enjoyed it. If it makes you feel better i didn't enjoy it as much as the one we did last month.
Sorry to the 3rd SS for being switched over. I know this might screw a battalion over, as battalions might (or at least should) train together and all the sudden are placed in another battalion. nonetheless a big thank you to the 3rd SS for being good sports.
Second reasons why so many things went wrong. There is blame on our side for sure, but not only us. For instance. We had a small quick briefing planned on Wednesday which was announced through the steam group. It was attended by well... a "few" regimental leaders.
Few people check out the updates provided in the opening thread as well. Some regs didn't showed up and another one was doing a skirm vs another regiment which threw the balance off by quite a bit. So there is a clear miss-communication from our side as well as other peoples side. Not everyone brought the provided numbers as we were given so that was also a bit of a factor that threw balance off. beside the regs not showing up off course...
The crash didn't helped either but it wasn't the server it was the program itself that crashed apparently.
So we decided to start from scratch in order to get clear who is in and who is out. Every regiment will have to
re apply We will contact regiments and ask them if they are still willing to be in it. If so urge them to make a post on this thread for re applying.
Re applying means:
Every regiment that is re-applying agrees to do a training session with us (the organizers)so that every regiment is familiar on how a battalion should be formed up, what a battalion consists of ,what is allowed and whatnot.
Also to get people familiar on how the whispers should be set up and every other concept that is expected. (Yes we are willing to do a 1v1 afterwards so you have the opportunity to wreck and shreck our ass for putting you through this whole ordeal…)
Every regiments 1st and 2nd MUST join the steam group!
We will provide updates faster, we gonna redesign the opening thread a bit, and gonna make some more clearer rules, with some more visual representations etc, we ask in return to check out the thread regularly. Clear communication.
And on the day of the event self we ask regiments to get on early so we can get everything sorted out in time.
We are not giving this event up so easy we agree that our own organisational skills can be better for sure, we ask you guys to stick with it and help us get better at this. We know the interest is there for these concepts so we will go on, Besides Hall has made all these maps we still need to use. So by the end of this week, the thread will be fully up to date and re-designed and i will throw open the Applications again.
