You don't get it. Nobody can use their nuclear weapons on other nations with nuclear weapons because it would mean both nations will get utterly destroyed. That's how the Cold war never became a real war.

Both nations don't have to have Nukes..
Almost every nation has nukes, and if they don't then they will have supporters. I.E. If America nuke some country that is poor, then places that dislike America such as Korea and others will provide them nukes. Another example is last month France and Britain sent troops to Mali to assist the fight against the rebels, Britain to train the Solders and France to help them.

Making Nukes are costly, so there isn't 'many' countires with nukes.

No one can straight out get away with it, but no one would declare war or embargo US. They would just say stuff infront of the tv about how much they was shocked etc. and it would end there.

i don't see a nuclear war ahead.
There are no tensions between any nation.
And relations are good.
This isn't a total war game where you think 'I need more land' so you declare war on a country you see fit.

The worlds powers have never seen such peace and good relations in the history of civilization. No war between European, american and most Asian powers can be seen.
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Not as everything stands, but the last total wars that were witnessed were caused by aggressive nations with great power. I'm certain a great war will happen, may it be a hundred or two hundred years. It's simply too long to be peaceful in terms of patterns.

It's a What If...

With the current person leading the USA, this country is going to shit.

Oh here we go again. What's the reason this time? Cutback on military spending? Healthcare? A law against machine guns?

YES!

The US is already getting shat on by the Russians and Chinese for secretly training the Syrian rebels even though I bet you they're doing the exact same thing.

India and Pakistan are probably the closest countries I could think of that'd have nuclear war if it were to happen again in a military fashion.

I'd feel wrong if there was ever a Brit who didn't feel he was better than anyone else. It's a national identity!

Keep in mind that the relevance of military might differs from country to country, and especially in first world countries a military might is far from priority. (At least shouldn't be)
Some countries invest more in their military, and some countries simply have to invest more than others because of their geographical position & diplomatic situation, Which makes comparing it stupid in the first place.

Arguing about who has the best army is retarded, because investing in a huge army to stay at bay is a waste of resources as they could be used for far better purposes.
