Here we discuss the Middle Ages reenacting.

I have started emailing Micel Folcland group about joining. Will be doing Viking and Anglo Saxon as my impression. I honestly am looking forward to start right into this and slay some monks with my horned helmet......jk I know they never wore the horns (thank goodness, they looks quite bit silly)

Question to you metalheads, where do you recommend getting your stuff from? Can be from EU or NA, I dont give a flying mead where it come from as long it's good.

Clans / Men of Close Combat

A Fine Gentleman's Club

We are group of players that are considered fanboys of Close Combat series. This is a group for players of CC to contact each other for some fun discussion or Multiplayer action. Close Combat is a WW2 RTS game. With a unique engine started out in 1990's covering D-Day to Battle of Bulge also Ostfront, they were named after classic movies such as "A Bridge too far" etc. Now sometime after 2010, they remade those series with updated graphic and engine. Longest day, Panthers in the Fog, Last Stand Arnhem, Wacht am Rhein, and now Caen is available to play today. Sporting realism as it's finest objective. Players are expected to work with mortars, infantry tactic and armor tactic. Players are to be expected to face such battle in extreme weather which will personally affect your troop and armor. Also, it feature an campaign for you to battle over many sectors. The brillant part is, if you happen to loose that sector and managed to attack it again later. You will see ruins from your last battle that was taken in this specific sector.  We're proud to hear that Close Combat wont stop with Caen, they will go ahead with brand new 3D engine called "Bloody First"

Combat Mission: Normandy

http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=273&Itemid=459

Brief Explanation of CM:Normandy from Battlefront

Combat Mission - Battle for Normandy (CM:BN) faithfully recreates the experience of tactical land warfare in Western France during World War Two. Using the unique Turn-Based (WeGo)/Real-Time hybrid game system of our proprietary CMx2 battle engine, the first installment in this new series covers the three months after the Allied D-Day landings in Normandy in June 1944, from Operation Overlord in June through the Cobra Breakout in August.

Historical Discussion / Karl Heinz Rosch Monument
« on: January 08, 2014, 07:49:08 am »
Let have a proper discussion lads.

heres the article
http://www.warhistoryonline.com/war-articles/controversial-memorial-honor-wwii-german-soldier-karl-heinz-rosch.html

Main goal of discussion - should we have monument dedicated to specific act of unselfish sacrifical action despite which side the person was on?

Personally I like the original preposition they had, showing the monument of 5 civillians exceuted by the Wehrmacht and yet another monument dedicated to a soldier who saved two kids. Show the two side of the Wehrmacht. To remind everyone that they were humans too but yes, they also did commit artocities. This really just show me "That was WW2, everyone was saving each other asses and committing war crimes"

Just curious to hear the rest of your stand on this.

Also, Please do not start an argument unless you have a good logical point to back yourself. I dont want to see this to be another thread where Facist folks can come and heil each other or communist coming in throwing molotovs all over this thread. Please just get out if you looking to do that.

Clans / [WW2:Online] Kampfgruppe Heintz
« on: December 18, 2013, 07:02:33 pm »

Who Are we?

We are clan based on realism that play WW2 online mostly as Axis with seldom mission as Allied. Despite our flexiblity in our clan system, we still use German orders and Wehrmacht infanterie tactic of 1939-1945. We currently portray a Gruppe and plan to make change upon the growth if needed. Kampfgruppe Heintz is actual Kampfgruppe that's based around St. Lo and fought through to Aachen where most force in K.G. Heintz were depleted.  We use Heer ranks and rekruten are expected to understand orders and tactic. However, we are still a clan rather to be a full on realism unit. Which mean, our priority to everyone is to have fun and enjoy tactic at its finest. Not to mention, the mind blowing mission on WW2 online you will find with us.

Historical Reenactment / Reenacting Foods.
« on: April 24, 2013, 12:07:01 am »
Share your picture or recipes of food during your reenacting period. It is kind of funny how tasteless food can be a awesome thing to eat at a reenactment. Best thing I ever had was homemade hardtack and cheese blocks. Those thing were given to me by a pard and still to this day, i'm craving for those.

I will share pictures of my homemade hardtack when i find them. Last time I made those was like in October.

North & South: First Manassas / Requesting a Skin modder
« on: February 03, 2013, 07:48:17 am »
Hello, I'm just giving this a shot. I'm 1stLt Cook of the 28th Massachusetts and I'm seeking someone who can make a custom model to replace a regiment on NS.

I did think about going over to released modification section and trying to post a request to some of those prepared modders but I'm not sure if they're able to do a civil war period uniform since they're packed with Europeans troops.

Thank you!
