6e Régiment de Hussards

Regimental Leader - Bastien
Regimental 2ndIc - Remao
Regimental 3rdIc - Treiz & Scarface
                            Strenghts:

Intuitive communication
Fast-paced, agressive style
Experienced leadership

Among all the new powerhouses rising to the announcement of the Cavalry League, the 6e Régiment de Hussards is undoubtedly one of those with the highest potential, entirely capable of threatening the title contenders and achieving greatness. Though the name is still recent, with a mere five months of existence, this short time has seemingly been enough for the 6e to establish a strong base, strengthen themselves with key additions and set clear and ambitious goals for the near future. Therefore, this new competition seems to arrive at a welcoming timing, one which will give the perfect occasion for this group of players to test themselves in a challenging, lasting environment and help to rank themselves among the top of the cavalry hierarchy.

At the head of the 6e, Remao, one of the most accomplished French player of the last five years, top players in his own right within the European scene, with a lasting experience as a NCO in one of the best hussar regiment of all time, the 5e Hussards. It was hard to find a better candidate than him to shape the project of a new french hussar regiment. When the 7e Régiment de Hussards departed from the IVe Corps ‘Antioche’ with two other regiments to make their ‘own’ IVe - following massive internal disagreements in the french scene - Bastien was left to find a replacement for the cavalry department. Remao appeared to be entirely capable of filling such a gap, the 5e having recently disbanded just around that time. He was thus given the challenging task to rebuild a cavalry regiment within the IVe Corps ‘Antioche’, with for short-term objective the aim to fill a roster capable of attending the IVe weekly events. He could count on the help of a long-time friend of his, battle-hardened veteran of the cavalry scene and former second-in-command of the 5e Hussards, Treiz. Very quickly, Scarface also appeared as a critical element for the regiment with a serious and try-hard mentality, stable activity and vast in-game knowledge and experience.

Given the current state of the community, the 6e could not necessarily rely on a substantial influx of new players to fill its ranks, and its leadership logically focused their effort into re-uniting past members of the 7e Hussards to start the 6e. Though the first few weeks required lots of effort to gather a nice looking team, the energy Remao, Treiz, Scarface and many other players (under Bastien’s supervision) put into making the 6e look like a proper regiment finally started to pay off. The regiment had managed to survive the difficult and bumpy first months of existence and could therefore look further ahead with grown confidence.

The beginning of competitive ambitions can sometimes take years to be set in certain regiments. But when you put a man such as Remao in the driver seat, you can expect these to arrive sooner rather than later. The new wave brought by the disbandment of the 9e Régiment de Hussards gave the 6e a whole new dimension, with the arrival of players such as Leensab, ACE, LaPierre and many others, bringing as much skill as experience. As they joined in numbers, the 6e’s challenge was to involve this new group of players within an already well-established core, a challenge which they seem to have overcome with resounding success as the old 9e/3e group became an integrant part of the regiment.

With this current roster, Remao and his men look well-equipped to begin what will be their first competition under that name. Obviously, it’s not clear what their real strength is as we are yet to see them evolve in an official competitive scenery, but the results they achieved in practice are already extremely encouraging and certainly put the 6e in a position where they can prove a threat to every regiment in the league. Its members are putting in the hours to improve, and it's starting to show. Their first encounter should already give a good idea of what they can accomplish together as they will be matched against the ever consistent 4e Hussards. If they can fight equal to equal with them, or even beat them, then who knows how far the Frenchmen can really get.

33rd Regiment of Foot (Cavalry Company)

Regimental Leader - Tylerus
Regimental 2ndIc - Duffman
Regimental 3rdIc - SirLegion
                            Strengths:

Friendship
Teamplay, Training
Experienced leadership

Since the announcement of the Cavalry League, there has been a number of regiments signing up for the competition. One of the most unpredictable, improved and exciting regiments taking part is the 33rd Regiment of Foot Cavalry Company nicknamed 'The Unfortunate Gentlemen'. The Cavalry Company of the 33rd were formed back in 2016 when the 5te Westfarliches Landwehr merged into the 33rd Regiment of Foot. They have since then established themselves in the cavalry community and they have an experienced squad of skilled players that have played together for years and who are confident in their own ability to compete. They have established long-lasting friendships and have a very tight group of players. The Cavalry Company have gained in numbers and really started to kick-off in the competitive scene. They now have the skill and team play to compete for a good finish in the Cavalry League.

During Tylerus long reign as leader, the 33rd has gone through a transformation from being a group of players who played during events casually to becoming competitively minded. Tylerus' experience in leading cavalry will be important for the 33rd during the league. Along with his left and right arms, Duffman & SirLegion. The trio will be a vital key to the good team play of the 33rd. They are also prepared and looking forward to the challenge. Many of the players in the 33rd are known to the community and have partaken in competitive tournaments before both as players and as referees. One of the oldest members of the cavalry company is Johnson who has been around since the days of 5te and has seen the company improved greatly during the last 6 months. One of the people who contributed a lot to make the 33rd into a competitive regiment is FlashComs who has been in the regiment since 5te. He was the CO in the 33rd and was responsible for organizing 1vs1:s and pushed towards a more competitive mindset. He stepped down as an CO some time ago and stayed away from the competitive scene but will now participate with the 33rd in the league. Another one of the oldest members of the cavalry company is Johnson who has been around since the days of 5te and has improved greatly during the last 6 months.

Uganda is a player known to many he started out in the 59th cavalry company and picked up the ins and ours very quickly. He participated in the Napoleonic Wars Cavalry Nations Cup 2017 & 2020 with Scandinavia. He joined up with the 33rd in 2018 and has since been an invaluable member of their regiment. SirLegion is already a known skilled player to the cavalry community and has proven that time and time again. He is also a member that has been with the 33rd since the 5te and has been an NCO for a while now. He will be very important in their matches and is a player you can always count on. We also have the NW veteran Ferdinand who has been playing the game since 2013. He joined up with the 33rd in July of 2020 and has quickly established himself as a more than competent player.

Their ambition is there and it will be interesting to see what they can accomplish in this version of the Cavalry League. They certainly have enough skill about them to create surprises. It is also admirable to see a cavalry regiment sticking together for such a long time especially when times have been rough. They have not always had the numbers to compete and it is lovely to see their patience pay off. It will be interesting to see what they can do against the very best. And last but not least you have to mention the legacy of the 33rd Regiment of Foot which has been around since Mount & Musket and is one of the biggest and longest surviving regiments. That's what you call a community!

Husaren-Regiment Nr. 4

Regimental Leader - Felix
Regimental 2ndIc - Octanidas
Regimental 3rdIc - Foxii
                            Strengths:

Aggression
Teamplay, Creating Chaos
Experienced leadership

After the announcement of the Cavalry League, one of the most hungry and skilful regiments that signed up was the Husaren-Regiment Nr4. They have partaken in many major tournaments before and even won some. They have an impressive trophy case and are well-known to the community. The Husaren-Regiment Nr.4 was formed on July 1st of 2017 by Felix in a time where the german cavalry scene was heavily represented by the 2Lr and Nr. 6. The Nr. 4 managed to establish themselves in the scene and become a serious representative in the German community. In that sense, the Nr. 4 followed the most successful formula which can be found for any NW regiment. They started from the bottom and slowly advanced to become a good regiment through training and forming a core of dedicated and skilled players and gradually improving as a group by climbing the cavalry regimental ladder by gradually facing tougher and tougher opposition.

If the theory is good, things can often look different in practice where it takes a lot of motivation and strong-will to not give-up in the making of the regiment. You lose players, you lose battles. You question yourself about the decisions taken and the ones to come. Out of 10 regiments created, 8 often don't make the cut and disband after a few months. But the Nr4 wasn't meant to be one of these. Slowly but surely, they asserted themselves, gathering more important and solid wins against stronger regiments. The recruits of yesterday turned into the veterans of today and the first ambitions for success started to appear. The Nr4 was re-formed after their disbandment, earlier this year. They quickly regained their strength with old members joining the ranks. Husaren-Regiment Nr. 4 have to be considered a serious challenger for a mid-table finish in the league.

They are training hard to regain the excellent teamplay that they have had in the past. Hopefully, they will be ready for the challenges ahead and unfortunately for them start off with the toughest possible opposition in the form of 4e. It will be a tough start for them but they will not go down without a fight. They have what they refer to as sweepers in the form of Felix, Octanidas and Achilles. All of them are known players to the community. Felix will be key to the performances for the Nr4 as he is the man with the tactics and they are going to need him alive. Since the Nr. 4 went international they managed to get some good players like MajorMark, Thyrell and Naz. Who are all proven players at the highest level and who have partaken in several tournaments. When it comes to clutches there are few players that can match Thyrell who is great on a horse and greatly skilled whilst dismounted. In Naz, they have a really skilled player who sometimes goes berserk. MajorMark is a really skilled and loyal player they have as well. Michnicki is also one of their most important players.

They have an impressive resumé of won trophies and good finishes in previous competitions. Whilst their teamplay has somewhat suffered due to a period of inactiveness/disbandment it is nothing that cannot be repaired during the course of the league.

4e Régiment de Hussards

Regimental Leader - Erik
Regimental 2ndIc - Sukesa
Regimental 3rdIc - Skittles
                            Strengths:

Adaptiveness
Fast-paced, Playing as a unit
Experienced leadership

One of the regiments that answered the call of the Cavalry League is the 4e Régiment de Hussards. The most feared, successful and supreme regiment over the last 5 years. They have created a legacy of winning over the last years by winning most of the tournament's they have taken part in. Going into this tournament they have to be considered one of the strongest favourites to win the Cavalry League. Whilst they have a core of skilled players within the regiment their biggest strength is playing good as a collective and having the legendary leadership in the form of Erik. To take you back to where it all started you have to go back to 2015. The 4e Régiment de Hussards started off as a project with the 15th Hussars and members from the then dominating 7e Hussards. Erik who was previously the second in command of the 7e Hussards and he brought with him Sukesa who was fourth in command. They were a vital part of the success that the 7e had previously had in the cavalry scene of NW. The 15th Hussars was a skilled and successful international regiment lead by Archer who was undoubtedly a good leader and friend of Erik. For the first few months, he was the leader of the 4e and they had some success but then stepped back and Erik took over the command and that's when the regiment really kicked off.

They started off their winning habits by winning the CNWL season 2 with supremacy. The only regiment that was able to put up a fierce fight against the 4e was the Nr3. They overcame this worthy rival and received their first major trophy without losing a single game. They were far from finished there and continued to win the next two seasons of the CNWL. The rivalry with the 5e was intense during the CNWL season 3 & 4 and for a long time afterwards. They became the first regiment to achieve a draw against the 4e during a league game which made them a worthy adversary. Rivalries such as these are what keeps a successful regiment like the 4e going and continues their desire to achieve perfection. What is worth to keep in mind is that the 4e was not around for the first version of the CNWL which was a shame as they undoubtedly would have been one of the contenders. They managed to cement their dominance in the cavalry community over that time. The 4e has one of the most impressive competitive records in Warband since their start. So, what will their goal be for this upcoming Cavalry League? It is safe to say that whenever the 4e partakes in a tournament they go into it with the ambition to win. Their collective efforts and tactics will be key to their efforts to win the Cavalry League. But they have undeniably some of the best players in the game and they will rely on some players to perform more than others. They have a core of good players in the form of Maxence, Caucasian, Ciiges, Dokletian, Killa, Blader and Skittles. There are many more that could be named but the list would be very long. What these players have accomplished need no further explanation since most of you know they are winners of major tournaments and dreaded to face in-game. Skittles, in particular, is worth a mentioning as he contributes enormously both whilst playing and also through his leadership skills. When Erik dies the task of leading go to Skittles who complement Erik in a perfect manner.

But the most important thing for the league or any competitive game that is played by the 4e is how they perform as a group. Everyone has their own specific duty and objective. At the head of the reigns is, of course, Erik, Sukesa and Skittles which will be vital in games against tough oppositions like the 8th and CB. When it comes to Erik he has been leading Cavalry in NW for more than 8+ years and he is one of the most respected leaders in the whole NW community of all time. It will be interesting to see if any leaders can match his abilities when it comes to leading. We asked Erik about how good this version of the 4e is compared to previous years. And the response we had is that they are still training as hard as they did 5 years ago which is a good sign since their loyal core of players is still there. It will be interesting to see if any Hussar regiment can close the gap on the 4e there are a few regiments that look interesting for sure.

The 4e is undoubtedly the most formidable force that the Cavalry scene has ever seen. Hopefully, they will live up to everyone's expectations. And I don't think we will be disappointed because consistency is a good word to describe their performances over the last five years.

2. Leib-Regiment

Regimental Leader - Adelon
Regimental 2ndIc - Magnum
Regimental 3rdIc - Goodest
                            Strengths:

Passionate Persistence
Combat-proven Core
Iron Ideals & Prussian Spirit

One of the oldest, prestigious and most disciplined regiments that answered the call of the Cavalry League is the 2. Leib-Regiment previously the 2. Leib-Husaren-Regiment. They are the oldest German cavalry regiment in this community and for long periods they have been the best german regiment. They were a force to be reckoned with and were almost invincible in the german community for several years before the emergence of the Nr6. By all means, the 2Lr are historically accurate. In fact, there is no doubt that they are the most disciplined regiment within the cavalry community and are always striving for perfection like true Prussians. After some big changes within the regiment during 2016, they initiated a re-organization and shortened their name to the 2. Leib-Regiment. New leadership in the cavalry emerged in Adelon. During any re-organization, it is inevitable that there will be a period of weakness in the ranks and time to adapt to new surroundings. The performances started to stagnate by the high standards of the 2Lr and they started to lose games. At this point in time, the 2Lr lost the battle of the German crown to the Nr6. But their regimental motto remained "Vincere aut mori" which translates to 'win or die'. They longed for revenge and managed to get it in 2017 when they managed to defeat the Nr6 with 10-0. But the german rivalry continued and the competition became even tougher when the Nr4 joined the fray.

They had some difficulties in dominating the German scene and more often than not they would lose games against their rivals. Which was difficult for leadership as every leader hates to lose games and having to deal with it in-game. As a consequence, they would lose some really good players but instead of giving up the 2Lr kept going which is a sign of strength. And something that is extremely rare in the NW community where regiments disband frequently. One way of improving is also by going through difficulties and learning from them. It is a philosophy that the 2Lr has adapted. When it comes to the battlefield there are few that can match their discipline and teamplay. They are fully committed to communication and mutual trust. Which makes them one of the hardest opponents you could ever face in 5vs5 tournaments. Since they have both the skill and the teamplay needed. As for what we can expect of the 2Lr in the Cavalry League? They are expecting a tough league but are looking forward to it. They especially look forward to a fierce German rivalry with the Nr4 and the MHR. Plenty of regiments underestimate the 2Lr and that is a mistake that can be used to their advantage.

Teamplay and discipline is two big strengths that the 2Lr has. But as all regiments, they have players that are better than others and whom they will rely on. The most important players for the tournament will be Adelon and Goodest who will be leading the 2Lr throughout the tournament. Both of them are very capable players on top of that. Adelon is an aggressive player and always on the look-out for the opening kills. Goodest is also an aggressive player. One of the players who must be mentioned as well is DarkHawk who is their best player in terms of getting kills. He is always expected to have a high position on the scoreboard. Magnum is a player who will be important as well, he contributes to the killing but also gives the best silent teamplay. Carlok the 'survivor' is as the names suggests one of the last to die and is a difficult player to get down. Achilles is as the name suggests a divine fighter in his own and has the objective to distract the enemy which often leads him alone with plenty of enemies. What these players have in common is that they are role models for the younger players in the 2Lr. They are teaching the next 'generation' of players.

The 2Lr have established a legacy within the NW community. Staying together through difficulties and keep going is the strongest thing any regiment could accomplish.

Plenty of 5v5 tournaments

Coronas ibéricas 5to Regimiento de infantería de la Corona

Regimental Leader - Dume
Regimental 2ndIc - Traeeseron
Regimental 3rdIc - (?)
                            Strengths:

Community
Skilled Fighters
Experienced leadership

One of the surprising attendants for the Cavalry League is the CI 5to Regimiento de infantería who are previously well-known in native & additional mods. They are a Spanish clan and have been around for many years and recently formed an NW regiment. Whilst the regiment might be new to NW most of its members are not. They signed up to play as Heavy Cavalry and will join the CB in the battle between heavy cavalry and hussars. As for what we can expect from them? It is very hard to say at this point, they have a lot of experience from native & different mods which is probably an advantage as native players tend to be more skilled. Two players who are known to the community are DarkLight & Traeeseron. DarkLight has been with several regiments in the community most notably the 4e and Nr3. Traeeseron is a skilled cavalry captain.

They requested a brief presentation and we will honour that.

Cuirassier Brigade

Regimental Leader - Filson
Regimental 2ndIc - Atlatan
Regimental 3rdIc - Wertz
                            Strengths:
Tactics & Discipline
Skilled Players, Great Atmosphere & Mental Resistance
Experienced Leadership

The only brigade who answered the call of the cavalry league is the Cuirassier Brigade. They have to be considered unpredictable due to the fact they are newly formed but many would argue they are a strong contender for the title. They consist of two regiments mainly and those being the k.k. Kürassier-Regiment "Kronprinz Ferdinand" Nummero. 4 and the 8 pulk kirasjerow. This is an alliance between germans and poles who both have fine traditions when it comes to heavy cavalry in NW. The 8pk was formed back in 2016 and are one of the longest surviving polish cavalry regiments in the community. A lot of the members for the 8pk started out in infantry and then converted to cavalry when they made the 8pk. They were part of the previous major league called Cavalry Champions League hosted by StephanGH and unfortunately finished last. But this year they have a stronger team and together with the Nr4 they should be able to put up a good fight against any regiment.

Which brings us to k.k. Kürassier-Regiment "Kronprinz Ferdinand" Nummero. 4 who are proud members of the Das Kaiserliche Heer. One of the oldest & biggest army corps in the german community ever. They are an old distinguished regiment with plenty of years in service and a frequent attendant to the kk events. They were originally members of the Nr59 (kk) and played cavalry for them until they formed into their own regiment within Das Kaiserliche Heer. Combined these two regiments provide a formidable force with many great experienced players. Hopefully, they will be able to perform well as a unit as that is one of the key concepts in succeeding against Hussar regiments. With experienced leaders such as Filson, Wertz and Atlatan there is no reason for worry. They also have the help of DragonKing who previously lead the successful DCL.

On another impressive note, you would have to say that they are by far the team with the biggest roster in terms of numbers. They have told us that they've brought up to 20 players for some of their 1vs1:s which is very impressive. They will like all other regiments expect some players to perform better than others. Some of the players that they consider is the key to their success are Ghazi, Woj, Ossi, Wertz, Wettin, Carlos and Tulkas. What they have in common is experience and skill which will be very important. It will be interesting to see how the best hussar regiments fare against Cuirassier Brigade. If they are as organized as the DCL it should be a close contest.

8th King's Royal Hussars

Regimental Leader - Stannis
Regimental 2ndIc - Aless
Regimental 3rdIc - Andros
                            Strengths:

Positive atmosphere
Aggressive play style, Team play
Experienced leadership

The 8th Hussars is one of the longest standing cavalry regiments of late, so it is no surprise to anyone to see them show up in force for another cavalry competition. With their core roots dating back to May of 2016 under the 150th banner, the regiment itself, under the leadership of Warclever, was very much considered a casual regiment at the time. However, after the departure of Warclever from the game, the remaining members of the 150th, determined to keep their tight knit group of friends together would find themselves forming a cavalry detachment within the 48th Highlanders. This early period for the 48th Cavalry detachment was far from flawless, but with every set back came a learning curve, which in time helped them in strengthening their team play and raw skill. The first demonstration of this was in late 2016 when the 48th cavalry partook in the second season of the Cavalry Napoleonic Wars League hosted by Erik, achieving a very admirable 2nd place in the second league, only falling short of 1st place by a few points. Spurred on by this great result, the members of the 48th cavalry, lead by Cage, split off from the 48th in order to form their own independent regiment, the regiment which we know today as the 8th King's Royal Hussars.

The year 2017 as a whole was a significant year for the 8th, as they established themselves as a formidable force within the cavalry community, their team play and individual skill only continued to grow, allowing them to rack up an impressive W/L ratio throughout the year. The addition of certain players strengthening their core roster, Freyr, Tom, Picco and Frank just to name a few, complimented by the experienced leadership under Cage and Stannis helped push the 8th into the upper echelon of the competitive cavalry scene. This was confirmed early on in 2018, when the 8th beat out almost every regiment in the fourth season of the CNWL, only losing to the cuirassiers of the 14. Pułk Kirasjerów, and the heavyweight of the hussars, the 4e Régiment de Hussards. Further on in the year, Nytek would host the final regimental cavalry tournament of the year called the Hussar Cup. This shorter format tournament would pit only the best of the hussar regiments against each other with double elimination rules and would give the 8th another chance to contest the top spot of the cavalry scene. The 8th preceded to dominate every match they played to carry themselves to the final versus the 4e, a chance at knocking arguably the best cavalry regiment of all time from the top, and only narrowly missing out, losing a very hard fought and close match 4-6.

After a short intermission in the early months of 2019, the 8th returned later in the year under the new leadership of Captain Stannis and Lieutenant Aless, with Cage stepping down from the position in favour of a less time consuming role. Missing their first cavalry league as a regiment, the first season of the Cavalry Champions League, they would make their returning appearance in the second season hosted by Shadey and Stephan later that year. The 8th, although starting strong against the 2Lr in week 1, faced an unfortunate defeat to the Nr.4 in week two, and the 4e once again in week four. Even with these early setbacks, the 8th was able to stay level headed and was once again able to show their high sense of strength and inner resolve by being the only regiment to beat the tournament winners in their final match versus the DCL, finishing the tournament on a high and guaranteeing a third place spot.

Over the past four years the members of 8th Hussars have built an exceptional legacy, building one of the strongest and friendliest communities outside of the game and contending every title of all the past three years within it. Although as usual, the competition is extremely strong for this tournament, there is no doubt this old heavyweight will be able to perform to the high standard that they always have.

1er Régiment de Hussards

Regimental Leader - DeLaBedoyere
Regimental 2ndIc - Soartex
Regimental 3rdIc - Saphyro, St0m
                            Strengths:

Core base
Skilled Fighters, Very mixed playstyles
Experienced leadership

One of the regiments who are attending the Cavalry League is the 1er Régiment de Hussards. Whom is considered one of the contenders for a top finish. They were formed on the 3rd of March in 2019 by DeLaBedoyere together with Soartex. The 1er Hussards quickly managed to secure a lot of members and they have a solid core of players. A lot of them who were previous members of the 11e Hussards. They attended the CCL like most cavalry regiments in the community. They managed to get a place in the first league and finished 5th. The biggest achievements was beating the 2Lr & 5e during the tournament. But the roster has changed since then and it has been strengthened by a lot of great players. It will be interesting to see if they get the teamwork ready for the league. They are heavily reliant on their old core players such as DeLaBedoyere, Soartex, Saphyro and St0m who is in the command chain. Their target is a finish on the podium for the CL. The 1er has also had a lot of success in 1v1:s. If the 1er is to compete with the best they are going to need teamwork and not firmly rely on pure skill. Regiments will also have some trouble dealing with the many different playstyles of the 1er members. Some are aggressive and others really skilled defensively and a few masters both.

But they have undeniably a few players that are stronger than the rest. Amongst which you will find DeLaBedoyere, Soartex, Ouranous, Angel and Thorvic. DeLaBedoyere is a fairly defensive player but can also go aggressive in a tactical manner and is highly consistent in his performances. The same has to be said about Soartex. Ouranos is usually aggressive but also defensively capable and you will usually find him on the top of the leaderboard. Thorvic is a skilled and aggressive player as well. Angel is also a good player. They also had some reinforcement in terms of Sharkie who was a leader for the 14th. A player they always had is Saphyro whilst he is not a clutchmaster (happened once, unlikely to happened again) he complements Bedoyere and Soartex along with his loyalty.

During times they have struggled to get the numbers together but the most important thing is that they kept going despite the difficulties. As mentioned before it is one of the biggest strengths for any community. Most of the 1er are genuinely nice guys and we wish them best of luck in the tournament coming up.

not really accurate when it comes to Nr6-2Lr history, but anyway nice presentation as always
Can I just say that I’m really impressed with the cav community, 10x more mature than the inf community and a lot less tolerant of the cancerous players
