What is the regiment you most enjoyed being in?
« on: September 24, 2013, 10:15:14 pm »
Since I am not going to be as persnickety as to say it is the regiment I created, I would say the 1stMEF due to the facts that it was extremely strict since we had ex-mil/current-mil.

My regiment now, 3eVolt. I love it. Most fun I've had since I bought the game in late March early April. Wouldn't trade them for another regiment. Made friendships in this regiment that I doubt can be broken.

But I will never forget the 1stEPG...

This looks awgully much like a popularity contest
Probably one of the very few old-timers here who hasn't been a regimental leader.

Indeed, this will just end in a "Uhh my regiment's e-peen is so much BIGGER than yours, because...".

Take it as you will, but saying one is the best and stating you enjoyed being in one are two very different topics. Hence why I changed the name from describing the best regiment you were in to the regiment that you most enjoyed being in.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I have only ever been in two regiments.

My first was the 6th Foot and we had a decent run with Hammorbird.

My second and current is the 57e d'infanterie.  This may be cheating because I helped to form this regiment, but it has by far been my favorite.  The majority of my men have known one another going on 2 years now and we have a blast.  We host line battles as Union Gaming (formerly NEC) and play many other games together as a team.  Many good times and hopefully many more to come.

Always looking for fresh blood, so come check us out =D

Second in command of the 57e d'infanterie, "Le Terrible".

Hmm, 91st.

Great community, the training actually improved members, unlike most regimental trainings nowadays, and we always had a blast in line battles.

OGN, good times nonetheless which is what I look for in the regiment experience.
1stEPG was fun while it lasted

Name of the regiment 1st Colberg Infantry

Why you thought it was/is the best

Because it was the regiment that quite literally had... everything. The community was friendly, we had solid shooting and melee. We were one of the largest NA regiments at the time. Everything was great, it was the most fun I ever had in NW. I made a ton of friends from there who I still keep in touch with.

But, like many regiments, stuff started going bad. A bunch of COs and NCOs were fighting each-other about how to run the regiment. One side wanted laxer rules while the other wanted strict ones. The faction that wanted a more lax regiment broke off from the 1stCI, and formed the 10th Brandenburgishe Infantry (10thBI).

Bad blood continued to ensue, any member of the 10th was banned from the 1stCI TS by the SiC. Regiments started shooting each-other during LBs, friendships broke apart, it was just really... really sad. Finally the 1st went down, and from it the King's Prussian Rifles (KPR) was born lead by the old Ober Fieldwebel of the 1st. Now a days, a group from the old 1stCI retook the name and started her up again. But it isn't the same.

It was one of the best, if not the best regiment I've ever been in. Seems like all of the regiments I've liked end up disbanding. Diplex's 63e and his 33rd, the 15e, the 1stCI, the 60th (But now it's back so :D).

But my main goal now is helping the 44th be the best it can be.

64th Regiment of foot (shitty small reg)
Sadly they merged with a regiment I didn't like. I Joined as a nub to NW as it was my first regiment. I really enjoyed it as game was a blast #bestsummereva
