Washington Guards Battery
« on: April 17, 2020, 02:55:27 am »
We are causal artillery group that likes having fun in Civil War games and others types of games. But when it comes to events we are HARDCORE. We would love it if you stopped by and joined us to fight the Union.
The Washington Guards Artillery battery, otherwise known as the 141st Artillery Regiment was created apart of the Louisiana National guard in 1838. The unit was first activated into service during the Mexican-American under Zachary Taylor and fought in a limited capacity. At the start of the civil war it was mustered under the Confederacy in the Army of Northern Virginia and part in the Army of Tennessee. They participated in almost every major engagement including Sharpsburg, Perryville, Gettysburg, Shiloh, Chickamauga, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Cold Harbor. After the civil war it was reorganized into the 141st Regiment and served highly in world war one, world war 2, in Iraq, and to help in disaster relief in New Orleans after Katrina.
