Tico's "Near-Classical" Friday Event [NA]

I can say that I've been playing in this community now for around two years, and I miss the fast-paced smaller sized linebattles that I experienced upon first joining a regiment. Millander has much recreated the environment from these first linebattles in his previous Sunday event, along with his and Hugonaut's current Tuesday event. Credits to him for that. As he is unwilling to do so, I am creating this event so that those that seek a similar battle to those may attend one on Friday evenings as well, with just about the same procedures and whatnot. Attending regiments will be invited for now, and applications may be opened in the future.


The event will take place at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. The server will be simply be named Ticos_Classical_Event. The server password will be distributed in the 12th Teamspeak 10 minutes before to a representative of each regiment. The IP Address to said server is 85.236.100.85:14067


This may be where the "Near-Classical" part of the event name takes effect. This event will include line infantry and artillery instead of just line infantry. The battles will likely take place on medium-sized maps. We'll see after the first event.
- Regiments can only fire in formation.
- No crouching.
- Do not trash talk, team kill, team wound, or in general, be an asshole.
- No ramboing. If your regiment was destroyed, rely on your common sense. If you're close, continue a charge, if not, go back to a friendly line instead of being a dick.
- Artillery groups can only deploy two pieces at most, with a maximum of eight men. The composition of those eight men are up to the leader, be they officer, ranker, sergeant, or a line infantry guard.
- The line infantry guards to the cannon pieces (if any) may fire out of a formation and crouch, but may not charge enemy lines from a long distance.
- If a cannon team is the last unit left on a team, they MUST charge.
- Regiment leaders, please be responsible for your men. If you see one breaking rules, rein them in so that admins don't have to.

Personally I thought you guys were leaving the Tuesday event. This was going to make Mack very sad.

Only reason we can't do Friday's LB is because Thundersnow is our honey boo boo. We go to his.

I don't intend to be the negative nancy but artillery and infantry? That could easily turn into a camp fest without any other roles to balance it out.

Doubt it, these tend to be pretty fast paced, I doubt the arty will be able to stay alive long enough for a camp fest. We'll see though, its a possibility and if it turns out to be true we'll fix the issue  :)
