Marxishey's 2v2 Sword & Bayonet Tournament | 18.04.21

Brackets are now in the Steam chat and on the OP. These were randomised apart from I had to move 1-2 teams as they were both refs that would have slowed the tournament down playing each other in the first round or 2.

So as its double elim tonight its hard to be as organised as I'd usually like meaning the refs won't have a set match list like I'd normally do (I've never personally hosted in this format before). As some refs are playing and may get knocked down to the losers bracket or stay in the winners our refs may need to switch about a bit. In short to start with we will have half the teams on server 1 and half on server 2 (top half of the bracket and the bottom). From 1-8 will be server 1 and from 9-15 will be 2. After the first round server 1 will be the 'winners' server where as 2 will be the 'losers'. So once you lose a match you'll be on server 2 and if you win a match in the first round you go to server 1 and stay there until you lose. For those of you in the second round just go straight to server 1 as you are technically in the winners area already. If anyone has any questions please let me know.

I think it'll be a long tournament but hopefully we can keep it running as smoothly/efficiently as possible.

EDIT: In the final the 'winner' finalist will get a 3 round advantage against the 'loser' finalist (so they start 3-0 up).

GG to everyone we played, special shout out to cam15elbe who played nuts and much better than expected.

Thanks to all the refs including the backups who helped, apart from the last couple matches the tournament took a lot less time than expected. I believe at least for a good while this will be my last tournament so I hope you all enjoyed.

Special thanks as well to Shadey for helping get the servers ready, unicorn for providing them and everyone who came. Had some very fun matches and it was a pretty chill tournament.
