Its not about all of us being afraid of Arty or anything like that. Arty will just turn rounds into taking 30mins and more because either side cant decide to do anything else then camping. With that it not only takes the fun away for the majority of the participants, it also means the winner is the one with more patience which would destroy the whole competitive side of this event.

This can be fixed by.
1) Have only one artillery piece per side.
2) Use maps were the spawn points are complete rubbish for arty and teams actually have to use combined arms to get their guns useful
3) Disallow sappers.

I don't get why everyone in this community has this fixed idea that the artillery has to camp a hill and get a big ass Fort around it.

Depending on sign-ups we are looking at a start date of late August at present; the earlier we can get this going the less we will step on the cavalry leagues toes and any other potential regimental tournies which crop up. All being good I estimate this season of NWBC to last around a month and a half; 3-4 weeks for the group stage and 2-3 weeks for the final stage.

I strongly encourage applicants to be realistic about your attendance estimates... Big regiments can field multiple units but I would discourage them from fielding an entire team. I would recommend pairing with at least one other reg for flexibility when arranging matches and to keep the skill level high (larger pool of players).

There is no limit to how many regiments can make up your team but we do have some restrictions in place to prevent too many highly skilled regiments participating together; as a general rule keep the amount of 'competitive' regiments in your team to a maximum of two and be mindful as to how your teams regiments performed in recent tournaments (not a fan of top 3's teaming up together and you will likely be rejected).

Also why was this changed down to 10 (from 15) in the first place, the overall minimum player number is still 50 just like last season. Shouldn't the amount of players in special units remain the same too? Besides, a maximum of 10 makes it so any normal sized regiment will have to send people over to other regiments or have loads of people in spec. Neither of those options are very desirable if you don't have regiments with multiple companies like your own.

10 lights including officer isn't enough for a competitive event. Considering that some lines are bringing 20+, not fair to instantly be 2-1. 15 would be more challenging and more fun. It is meant to be competitive after all
