There are other modifications that do the same won't be difficult for people to continue, completely farcical to even bother @herishey close both topics and let the native boys squirm about an FOV mod in silence please.

The unblockable cheat was much more detrimental, haven't seen it in a while though..

Edit nvm that was patched:
New server console commands:
commander_battle_rambo <value> #cb rambo 1 is on, 0 is off
commander_battle_no_spread <value>  # 0 is off, 1 is on.  disable line inf spread
limit_medic <value> #sets the limit for medic units in each team (0-100)
custom_maps_enabled <value> # 0-100  selects the number of custom maps that can be chosen from
admin_white_list_enabled <value> # only allow admins from the cd key id whitelist 1 is on, 0 is off
admin_white_list_key <value> # Any id entered here will be added to the white list for admins.
custom_command1  <value> # toggle welcome message on or off.  0 is off, 1 is on
custom_command2  <value> # toggle competitive score on or off.  0 is off, 1 is on.
custom_command3  <value> # set the no rambo range in commander battle. (0-100)
custom_command4  <value> # set the limit on the number of artillery trains available (0-100)
#custom_commands 5-10 are not used currently but modders can use them
set_disallow_ranged_weapons #sets if ranged weapons are allowed or not.  Note, this will only effect people who spawn after this is set. 0 is off, 1 is on.

What also got added for dedicated servers is the ability to set the maximum FPS of the server higher from its default 120 FPS setting.
with the command:
set_server_fps_limit  #takes values 10-1000

Be carefull with this, it will create unnessisary high load on the server box, it is made for perhaps small clan competitive matches to have in theory slightly better server responsivness and physics acuracy... But the difirence will probably be neglectable.

New faction to add to your server rotation:
add_factions fac_rhine fac_rhine

how about the sideblock fixing, were the hitboxes the only change in order to 'reduce pokes', did u nullify unblockable cheat and what about the rumoured other anticheat measures?
Sideblock is fixed. and you have to test our edits on pokes. the unblockable is fixed too.
I'm sure we forgot to mention many things in the change log, we did so much.

I believe the original reason people used WSE2 was due to the steam version stuttering sometimes, that in combination of the faster load-up speeds.

I don't think to the average user WSE2 is at all beneficial, especially considering its running numerous scripts which in my opinion would only be detrimental when playing and could cause issues in themselves. If you have a PC that's newer than 2011 and can run the game at 240fps, then WSE2 is a placebo where you believe it's actually giving you benefits because some top player said so.

Personally I think its quite a big difference, might be because of potato pc or me being about as tech savvy as a camel, but I think the game is a ton smoother than regular steam version, especially on servers with more people and/or servers with scripts.

Someone was telling me that you TK less with WSE2 because you don't warp through players, kinda like the feature explained here on the WSE2 thread

- Ragdoll soak - blows is beaten on corpses and thus prevents an unintentional teamhits.

I'm not sure the true benefit it brings but couldn't this be a game changer?

I thought that was server side how you altering your stun animation or others with this?

It's definitely an advantage just like yellow muskets plus others but it's so minimal IMO it barely effects the outcomes of any rounds at all, you can't stop people using these gimmicks and they're not going to make you a better player.

You're still just gonna be just as shit even with every little giga cheat turned on.

There's a reason notorious autoblockers are still dog shit at the game.

Edit: Wasn't there a cheat going around not that long ago that allowed you to straight up go through blocks or was I crazy?

ight some bits of empirical evidence where we have tried this before, once was the PTK and I know the bracket was wrong but you still didn't change it and went ahead with the shit decision (very worrying).

Second is a Marxeil and I think Wursti tournament, don't remember the format but it was one big group with a round based system and I distinctly remember winning based of a single round with PB in a match against a Russian team and that was the deciding factor.

It felt garbage to win like we hadn't achieved what we wanted, in addition to that I remember we 7-0 snappers and they really did get unlucky in our match and despite them going on to beat cazadores (who we almost lost to) they ended like 5th in the bracket.

Was that the one where we lost to CCCP (marxeil, DOMI, Ivan etc) like 5-2 or smth but we still won the tourney over them by 1 pt?

Oh yes that was it!

@Fietta while I don't disagree with most of your point's I think you are looking at this too logically, yes on paper each round becomes more important however overall in a tournament scenario it's completely different.

I don't want to reiterate some of herishey's and others points, however I would like to bring to light some bits of empirical evidence where we have tried this before, once was the PTK and I know the bracket was wrong but you still didn't change it and went ahead with the shit decision (very worrying).

IMO with so few teams in what is an extremely volatile competitive format as others have stated some rounds can go the other way it seems to me like you really are just causing unnecessary drama and trouble.

@Blitz in football its based on 90 minutes + extra time instead of a points limit so a counter argument would be with more time the other team might have won, just like saying well with more rounds we might have won. There is a limit set for a reason it's the first to reach it, it doesn't matter how you got there.

Point's being the decider makes far more sense.

6v6 Tournament Format Announcement

It was agreed by the admin team that the tournament will be based on round wins or 'pts' (rather than the classic match wins). The bracket in the draft tournament was done incorrectly, so even if it was based on round wins, it would be 'pts' first, however, it was set to 'pts diff', which caused the bracket to be completely incorrect. Basing it on pts would make sense as the more rounds you're winning, the better the team is playing, given the scenario below:

If a team loses their matches as follow:

4 - 5, 4 - 5, 4 - 5, 5 - 4 = 17pts (1 match win)

whilst a team wins the following:

5 - 4, 5 - 4, 0 - 5, 0 - 5 = 10pts (2 match wins)

In a standard format, the second team would proceed to the knockouts, however, the first team would get knocked out even though they played better but only lost the last round on all their matches.

If you don't like it, tough, but it's clear this is the better way of determining skill.

"better way of determining skill"

Very debatable point depending on the playstyles of some teams you may throw more rounds to achieve an aggressive victory, or in the first group stage matches when some people are still warming up to the teams chemistry on the day.

I also do feel this takes away from the importance of a 4-4 scenario or being on "Match point". Or even a comeback becomes less important as you don't really need to win to go through.

Although you may argue each round is more important it's nice to have a "cushion" of some rounds and in my opinion it makes it more thrilling when you do reach that 4-4 and are fighting to go through.

Your tournament you do you, however I don't see why now you are trying to change a normal precedent in tournaments, feels like a trying to be different moment for the sake of it.
