You get an extra day since the delay in posting the brackets this week, but yes it gives everyone the full week meaning they can do anyday of their choosing.

Well since sunday is the best day for most regiments it makes no sense. People plan events ahead of time, so if you release the brackets on saturday or even on the sunday itself, the sunday is always going to be full for every regiment. I've almost never been able to schedule an official match with any reg within such short notice so this basically means that we will never be able to do MRGL on sundays. Just do Mon-Sun like any normal tournament. 90% of the regiments here go to the 4v4 on monday so that day is useless for MRGL anyways.

It had been announced we'd be starting the matches at this date for quite some time, if people decided to fill their calendar knowing full well when it starts that's not exactly my fault or problem. I will extend the deadline to Sunday meaning the match week will go on until the 15th, that gives you two Sundays to organise your match this week and you'll have one every week after.

I see what Herishey means, but I think he forgot that we didn't post the brackets until very recently so its not really on the regiments.

Matchweek will be from today till Sunday 15th, then will be going from Mon-Sunday like normal :)

Not that it would be a big deal for me the other way around but I prefer it that way as Rikkerts point with Sunday being the best for most Regiments stays.

Also, do you think it is possible to maybe give the order of play early, or at least like announce the upcoming match week in like the middle of the week? Cause I think the fact that everything was played on Sunday last RGL was caused by the fact Regiments are simply always fully planned for the next 3-5 days. That could give more opportunities to play and would also relieve the Referee Situation. We all know from last season that it's difficult to find a neutral referee if there are 5 Matches on the same day.

The matches will be played on the same order of the brackets, so just open up the brackets and you can see all your future matches.

Ahh. I thought you don´t make it public like last RGL. My bad.

There's a link on both this thread and the Overview one, I also threw one in the leaders group. So yeah just stick to the order of the brackets and you can pre-plan as you please. :)

Spooky didnt show up so after talking with Chriseh and the 33rd I just reffed it myself. The match was very calm and without anything bad to mention. Result wise we were able to achieve an early 4-5 Round lead. After the 33rd grabed some momentum and leveled the Match to 7:9. In the end we, the 92nd were able to gain the upper hand again making it 15:9. GG 33rd. Enjoyable Match.

The match wasn't as one sided as the score reads with some really close nail biting rounds that just swung our way at the end of the day. Huge props to Sycrim who managed to step up and provide a clean server and admin to accommodate our match, very professional from the IVe Corps. Apologies that some of our members were being lippy in all chat I assure you it won't happen again. All together a very fun laid back chill match GG WP

Not gonna lie, it was not really enjoyable. Started very late due to the French Server not being ready and the 55th refusing to play on a German one. After we started the 55th kept dropping/rejoining and took up to 3mins between the rounds. Chat remained friendly from both sides. Score wise, after traditionally throwing our first round the match was pretty one-sided, even though 55th gave us some very close rounds. Still thanks for playing and good luck in the further tournament!

Obviously, we asked and agreed on a french server, so trying to change it at the last second is kinda sad :), we are not "crying" Stockholm just stating facts. Then after some tension, it was less toxic then what We had imagined from you so good point on that keep improving maybe one day you will be on our level in that regard. So it was a good match. But also frustrating because we saw victory very near in our grasp, we lost every close round and we should have lost 15-8 or who knows even won, so it wasn't one-sided as the impartial refferee says but thanks. I can feel it wasn't that hard as against the 15thYR on our side, so maybe we are improving! GL to the 92nd in your next matches #the eternalNumber2 but for how long dadaddummm

Yeah there was a lot of close rounds. Was defo a fun challenge. Chat was calm most of the time butttttt I must admit. There was some unneeded toxicity in the chat, 55th is friendly. We like to keep the focus on the battlefield. Not in all chat.

Dropping out wasn’t intended. There was internet issues from our side.

Doesn’t matter. Past is past. No point in focusing on it since nothing you do or say will change it. GG again! And good luck against in the future :))

I agree with a lot of what Stockholm has said though. 55th you are extremely difficult to work with when you will only play on French servers out of some negelegable ping difference. German servers are a good norm because of how central it is and because of routing etc. for some countries. Only thing that makes sense to me is that you have a few French/benelux players.

That being said, Stockholm was completely reasonable and said that the rounds were very close and doesn't reflect the score which is a nice thing to say which he didn't need to. So comments like that from Leber is very unnecessary.  If you can't take some banter when they are having to wait a lot of time inbetween rounds then I hear Minecraft is on sale. Best you stop playing in a competitive environment, its expected.

No more on this matter thanks.

Drops to 15 are allowed (though I personally think anyone who does that in the group stage should be shot), not to 12 though.

We've all been playing this game a long time, we aren't so over invested into a group stage match where we would do that ;D

I did already warn Maskman though, if we meet again in play offs we will sweat it more xD

45thN 15 - 12 96y

GG WP to 96y in a very surprisingly tense match catching the 45thN on the back foot on many of the rounds proving their discpline. Ultimately the 45thN came out on top but a supposedly comfortable victory came down to a few tense rounds where the 96y pulled through and really punished the 45thN for their small errors. GG WP to 96y best of luck in the quarters

Group B was pretty interesting with 3 teams finishing 3rd, just the amount of rounds won to separate us  ;)

Or maybe all the regimental leaders could give their opinion here...

If the match week starts 28th, only 4 regiments would have to do their match week then (92nd 96y and 27th 55th) - the first Sunday being the 3rd January, so I guess its up to regimental leaders - personally a 2 week break seems bit silly.

Yes, they could give their opinion here Fotin. That is what I said11!11!1!!1!!!

If they aren't keeping an eye on the thread of the tournament that they are playing in that's kind of a them problem if their opinion is missed.

We did say a 1 week break originally but that's because I expected groups to go on a week longer as normally someone fucks something up. In this case it went pretty smoothly so a 1 week break does take is still into that 'Christmas' period.

GG to the 96y. Close match. We underestimated 96y's movements. We got caught off guard most of the time and were careless. But a decent fight to say the least.

Thanks for the tournament, also thanks letting us in so late and sorry to all our enemys for the low attendence, unfortunately we are not able to bring the numbers like last RGL.
Few words to the organizers, well done from my perspective, just the server booking and finding refs was sometimes a bit chaotic. Since I have now more time, hit me up if someone needs a ref for a match.

Yeah I should have done a time-table for the servers really but I hadn't bothered since there were more than enough servers for everyone to play their match on the same day (and it was originally planned to just be German servers rather than having the one French one which I believe caused the 'chaos' as such at times).

Was a very close and high-level match. 92nd picked up the first 3 rounds but afterwards, 96y made it close and both Regiments were trading rounds until 7:5 for the 92nd. At that score, the 92nd was able to gain some distance but when close to winning, the 96y was able to win 3 consecutive rounds to make it 9:13. Before the match became very close the 92nd was able to close the match with 2 strong rounds. In the end, it was a extremely friendly and competitive match. Thanks for playing us 96y!

The matter regarding the rules has already been discussed with the 55th on Teamspeak with the presence of other reg leaders.

Once a decision & statement has been made regarding what happened is done then you are free to post your opinion, Vegi. Until then as you are not involved there is no need for a shit stir for something that needs to be dealt with by the proper means than another rant on a thread.

We have had enough of those recently.

Yeah I did say this to Chriseh since I couldn't be on TeamSpeak today. The change of the rules was entirely my fault. When I made the rules I copy and pasted them from the last RGL (with Tardets permission I'd like to add). I thought I had read over all the rules but I missed one which stated changes could only be made until X day. Once this was pointed out to me I removed it purely because I had not been moderating this rule at all over the tournament or paying attention to rosters in this way since I wasn't even aware the rule existed. So yeah apologies for that it's entirely my fault for copy and pasting the rules without reading them fully like a mug. I did explain this to a member of 55th who pointed it out to me a good few hours before the match and apologise there as well.

I know the other organisers were also not aware of the rule too so we'd all missed this. I apologise again (I imagine I missed it somewhere between MarxeiL leaving the event he was hosting and picking it up).

Also just to point out when I did this I stupidly didn't think to talk to the others first as I thought it was just a clear mistake/miss so again that's also my bad.

This wasn’t just the rules change though.... I think it’s important you also explain who this ‘whiteknight’ player was, why you had him use a different CD key to let him play along with a different alias and the fact the player had played for a different team in MRGL already, and why you sought to deceive people. I think it’s also important the fact that you edited the rule set on the day of the MRGL match without telling anyone of it to allow this player to play for you and then also editing your roster less than an hour later to make it look like this white knight player was someone in your regiment.

After talking over and over with John price about this yesterday we finally got to the bottom of what was going on. And I think it’s important these issues are addressed in your next response. No dodging from the truth or my next post will be covering those topics.

Also thanks to vegi’s eagerness to see justice as well as his ability to post about this, and the fact John price, once made aware of the situation, was incredibly honest. We where able to finally get to the truth after spending hours on call.

That part I'm yet to discuss with Chriseh as he had gone off by the time I was back on my PC hence why I 'dodged' it in my first post as I was waiting to talk to him first. I just addressed the part that was 'easy' to as it was a genuine mistake. It wasn't even to allow the 'WhiteKnight' player as that was discussed with Chriseh a good bit of time before that day (like a week). It just happened to be when he was added to the roster because I noticed he hadn't already been added.

If you ask Quenoille you will see that he originally pointed out the rule thing when Chriseh added 'Voluble' to our roster to see if it was allowed and I explained why I was going to change the rule to him there (I'm sure he can provide logs of this if you don't believe that). So the rule thing was really nothing to do with this other part hence why I addressed it first.

I have had a chance now to talk with Chriseh this morning as well as a couple others. I have decided to step down as organiser myself for what I did with BlackBeard AKA WhiteKnight allowing him to play on a 2nd key vs the 55th. I did suggest we do a replay vs the 55th but apparently they don't want this. I don't want to further damage the integreity of the event that I basically ended up having to pickup from MarxeiL when I didn't want to be involved in the first place which I ask you to remember, though this is of course no excuse for my actions. So apologies once again for this. In relation to the rule part whether you believe me or not this was a genuine mistake and has no direct link to the WhiteKnight incident as I explained in my above posts. As the servers are essentially mine I will remain admin on the servers but realistically I assume none of you care about this considering I have admin pretty much everywhere and don't abuse it. Although it makes no difference I'd like to point out that with the WhiteKnight thing my intention was not to alter the result of any match. I knew we'd beat the 55th anyway and I knew we'd lose to 15thYR with or without him but either-way again this doesn't excuse my actions.

I would ask you to remember the work I did put into this event when no one else would over the past few months before Chriseh did step in and also help me at times. No point writing much more than this as it's as to the point as I can get really. Good luck to Chriseh and the others for the last week of the event.

18e should drop out of this tournament. Chriseh rigging his own tournaments is not a new thing and nobody believes Herishey just did it on his own. Again you are being a bad example and are embarrassing yourself with a horrible mindset. I just hope people finally figured out that your tournaments are not only poorly organized but also you do everything so you can do good in them. Chriseh you should stay far away from any further tournaments!

I take that as a personal insult really considering I basically did everything for this tournament from the previews to the brackets to whatever else. Chriseh wasn't involved until later as I needed some help since this was originally MarxeiL's tournament who decided to drop it. As far as I'm concerned other than this hiccup (which of course I am taking responsibility for and admitting to my mistakes by stepping out of the team) there were no issues. The tournament had no organisational issues outside of this one.

The only other negative feedback I've had is that I could have added in a schedule for the servers but this was overlooked as originally we only had German ones and more than enough for all regiments to play at once.

The rule thing I can say again with 100% honesty none of the other organisers were involved in this and it was a genuine mistake, whether you believe me or not there isn't anything I can do about that but it is the truth. See the below if you hadn't already.

I personally see no reason why 18e should be punished for this other than a replay in the one match that was affected but 55th don't want to play this as far as I'm aware. Aside from this you could argue there should be a punishment for the involved player(s). That would technically only affect me considering that Blackbeard already cannot play.

If we are being real this wasn’t a hiccup. This was actively hidden. I thank you for your mature response about this but playing this off as a one time thing is not okay. The fact you tired to cover this up with A. Saying white knight was Eddie, a old german player and B. Adding a player called white-knight to your roster before the match on Sunday to make it look like he was in the regiment. The fact this happens makes it 10x works. This isn’t a hiccup, this is a well planned deception.

Well, I believe all the damage has been done already, You cheated in your own competition as host and member of the 18e with malicious intent. First of all, as a host and organiser you should read over what you post especially regarding the rules. Then you proceed to just change the rules right before the match instead of saying ah you are right we'll keep to the rules so you could add players. Secondly how stupid do you have to be to cheat in a tournament like this where you are part of a regiment but also a HOST. luckily for us and sadly for you we did our homework. Merely stepping down from hosting this MRGL won't do in the slightest. You'll be informed of the repercussions either today or Wednesday at the latest by Chriseh.

I don't see it as 'sad'. I made a mistake simple as that, regardless if I was caught or not I still regret doing it. It did feel wrong once it was done and again all I can do is apologise. I look forward to seeing your 'repercussions' though lol.

P.S. Again this is my mistake which I have admitted to several times now so I don't see why I keep needing to repeat this.

P.S. I've already said this several times but I didn't change the rules for that purpose, I changed them simply because none of the organisational team had been following that rule as none of us new it existed. Again this is my mistake which I have admitted to several times now so I don't see why I keep needing to repeat this.

Well we in the 55th followed it and I look forward to them too LOL. You better not take this lightly or they might get worse :). We have been pretty mild as we are nice guys but if you so wish we can change that.

I'm not taking it lightly. I literally stepped down as organiser from a tournament I have done practically all the work for which hurt a lot of I'm perfectly honest but I know I quite simply fucked up. Hence why I did. But I don't really see what needs to be done to me outside of MRGL.

Realistically we have people playing actively in this community that have done much worse and we have given them several chances. Not to point out they never actually did anything positive for the community unlike someone like me.

As far as I'm concerned other than this hiccup (which of course I am taking responsibility for and admitting to my mistakes by stepping out of the team)

This isn’t a hiccup, this is a well planned deception.
Regardless it is a 'one time thing'. It only happened once. Again I admitted all of this and have accepted the responsibility for my actions. I'm not playing it off. I'm simply saying it's not as deep as you are all making this out to be.

I'm going to point out in the past in both NWL, EIC, NLC and RGL we have seen this happen in the past. Admittedly not with an organiser but regardless their punishment was pretty minimal. The player got banned and that was about it really. So what you said there isn't  true. You wouldn't have had many issues most likely. Just a replay would have been discussed as it was in the past  I imagine. Again I'm not belittling what I have done but I'm simply stating the facts.

After what has happened it is also only right I stay back from hosting anything regimental anyway. Which I will, I don't normally get too involved in regimental hosting anyway aside from the 8 RGT's or so I hosted, this and a couple NWL's I co-hosted with Brot back in the day. So yeah you can take this post also as my retirement from regimental hosting, it's best to leave that to people without a stain like this on their track record anyway. Regardless of that I still ask that people do appreciate the work I have put into both this event and the past ones and not just look at the one negative.

First of all, the overview was nice and the tournament overall went fine BUT I think you don't see the full picture of the situation, we didn't punish 18e in any way for now because you represent the 18e and you could have take responsabilities for the mistakes you made, wich is to change the rules at the last second ( if it was only that then BIG SUS but ok ) and also to put Blackbeard who already played with the 77y, with a fake name and you lied about who it was.
You are actually taking all of this shit just as a admin of the MRGL but not as a NCO of the 18e wich its not fair. Price and the 18e should be punished because even if its not his fault its still his responsability as a leader to be responsable from his NCO's actions and its his reponsability to knows his players especially during a MRGL match, so he either already know and that's worse or he didn't know still he's fault and responsability as a leader.
However it should be your part now to step up, take all the 18e punishment for you since its your fault, and then step down from some things as MRGL admin but not only that. If you don't take 18e and Price responsability then we will have to punish the 18e instead and since we don't want to have a free win because imo its ridiculous for us to be TOP 4 when we don't deserve this title, we will still have to do it do get justice.

Tbh I'm done with this so let's end it here.

After some debating within the staff team we decided we'd like to claim the default win.
We realised it isnt fair towards our members to deny them the chance of a 3rd place because the 18e cheated.
A re-play would be out of the questions considering the fact that the 18e went to an extend to hide that it was blackbeard (and not eddie).
Also since price is head organiser he should know his own rules, regardless if he knew the rules changed or not he shouldve been aware white knight and voluble for that fact were not allowed to play.

We dont know how there can be fair judgement considering all the organisers are from the 18e regardless of their intention they can never judge fairly or impartial.

I have already said several times I accept the full responsibility as it is my wrong doing, not much more I can say than that so like Rayleigh I will leave it there. It's not my tournament anymore nor is it my decision to make.

As far as I'm concerned other than this hiccup (which of course I am taking responsibility for and admitting to my mistakes by stepping out of the team)

If we are being real this wasn%u2019t a hiccup. This isn%u2019t a hiccup, this is a well planned deception.
Regardless it is a 'one time thing'. It only happened once. Again I admitted all of this and have accepted the responsibility for my actions. I'm not playing it off. I'm simply saying it's not as deep as you are all making this out to be.

P.S. I've already said this several times but I didn't change the rules for that purpose, I changed them simply because none of the organisational team had been following that rule as none of us new it existed. Again this is my mistake which I have admitted to several times now so I don't see why I keep needing to repeat this.
We have been pretty mild as we are nice guys but if you so wish we can change that.
looooooool

Just to clarify I did of course know that Voluble was playing but I was just going off the information that was given to me which turned out to well, be incorrect.

Regardless of whatever happened, Herishey has accepted the punishment that was agreed upon by all the reg leaders, arguing about morals etc. is just meaningless at this point. Obviously I deserve some blame for not really paying attention but I feel as though 18e dropping out is compensation for that. But, prior to the belief of some like Stockholm it wasn't a mass conspiricy, just stupidity.

I think I speak for all parties actually involved and say we probably don't need this arguement to carry on, I am a little dissapointed because everything had been handled extremely well and respectfully but its a shame it devolved into another spam fest on FSE :/

18e will be dropping from the tournament and 55th will be moving on to play vs 15th. Good luck!

EDIT: Just watched it again, god those first few calls from Xenoyia were bad XD I should have asked Gi or someone to take over from him the 2nd half instead of taking over myself. Made it worse more than anything.

Chriseh you should stay far away from any further tournaments!

you're actually mentally disabled

false, I'm not a part of the 18e

Congrats to 15th for bringing in another tournament victory, taking home the 15-10 over 92nd.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and took part in the tournament. Apart from 2 incidents the tournament ran relatively cleanly and I am glad everyone enjoyed although I unfortunately had to join the hosting team a little late!

I'll have someone draw up some signatures etc. for anyone in 15th and 92nd who may like to use them.

Thanks and well played to all the regiments we faced along the way, to the old dogs like 77y,Nr13,33rd, and to some of the newer regiments such as 55th and 27th whom will no doubt challenge in future tournaments.

I have to say that I'm myself really disappointed for losing the final. But this was a nice one, and I'm really happy for the 15th that they get the title once more, they deserve it.

I'm also really happy of every 92nd Grenadier, everyone did his best to try winning that final.

Also big thanks to the 92nd Staff Team, I came back 2 months ago, asked 2 weeks ago to lead and they all accepted it. Stein, Stockie, Wolffe, Pieter, Henry, Ilypa, Vegi, RedFire, Alatriste... nothing would be possible without all your advices, so big thanks for that.

Finally, big thanks to the organizers! I can't wait to see the next season ;D

Thank you for organizing, congrats everyone on their achievements and obviously congrats 15th on winning it yet again! We had a tough MRGL, with many core members being inactive, being forced to mainly play with our lights which are compared to the infantry less experienced. Nevertheless we had fun in the games we played and we are looking forward to the next season with hopefully a stronger roster again!
