Clean energy denied?
Emperor Palpatine found to be a source of clean energy, a recent University of Tatooine study claims. Supreme Leader who was brutally slain by a radicalized desert dweller in a horrific act of terror that claimed thousands of lives, reportedly possessed the ability to output up to 46 gigawatts/hour of renewable emission-free energy in the form of a directed electrostatic discharge. Scientists estimate that this much energy could power up to 13 city blocks on Coruscant, or almost 40% of an Imperial Star beam that destroyed the rebel terrorist alliance training camp on Alderaan. With careful study and application, one researcher speculates, Mr. Palpatine - had he lived - could eventually produce unlimited power, practically eliminating our growing dependency on fossil fuels.
In a statement off the record, an anonymous official in the Imperial palace blames the fossil fuel interest of the Trade Federation for Supreme Leader's death: "He threatened their markets and they took him from us. What a brutal world we live in". We reached out to representatives of the Trade Federation for an official statement, but the organization refused to comment, citing Trade Code regulation 64 preventing an official inquiry into commercial affairs without a prior appointment of a Senatorial investigative committee.
