Evening Gents, I'm looking for a regiment, that `ticks my boxes`;

Looking for a casual regiment which does not troll, and is not sweaty, additionally that I'm neither outclassed in skill significantly, nor only full of new players.
(yeah I am aware this removes 99% regiments from potential, but am not desperate so can be picky).

I will probably attend once a week, but sometimes more, sometimes less.

Ooh, also forgot to mention, but would like a regiment that needs maps for whatever reason, and potential to work on additional mods for them.

You just aren't on our level, nothing for someone outclassed in skill to be ashamed of.

19te Prussian Infantry

Welcome

The 19te Prussian Infantry was formed by our first Hauptmann, Joshly, and a small number of members in April 2011.  They, being veterans of other Mount and Musket regiments, wanted to create an atmosphere of respect, fun, and entertainment while playing MM.  They achieved this by focusing on using great teamwork and tactics while playing the game.  Two years later, our goals remain the same – to provide that same sense of comradery in and out of NW and into our other games we play.  Our rank structure promotes a meaningful, but not overdone, organization and couples with our focus on using historical line tactics.

We boast over six years of experience, and over this time, the regiment is anything but average.  We consistently welcome new players and focus on bringing gentlemen in that mesh with our attitudes and ideals.  Many of those members have stayed and remain here to this day.  Rank advancement is possible – we have no set limit for any ranks, and take those that can showcase their capabilities in and out of game, and have shown dedication to the regiment over time.  We respect and ask that all new members respect everyone I this community, and we endeavor to achieve this goal daily.  In addition to our consistency in Napoleonic Wars, we play a wide variety of games and encourage members play together.  We have members that span multiple time zones, so in the event you’re staying up late, we are certain that you will have someone to play with!  Our current list of games changes consistently, so if you are even remotely interested in playing with us, please contact one of the recruiting liaisons below!

Joining

There is a simple process for any and all interested in joining the 19te.  When you go to our website, http://19te.enjin.com, you’ll see a “Join Here” tab.  Press that and fill out the forms. Please be mindful of the general rules at the top of the application when you apply.  Although we have fun, we ask that all members follow the rules and adhere to them.  If you have any questions or would like to play with us to get to know how we operate, please add one of the many Recruiting Liaisons on Steam, shown below.  Furthermore, our TeamSpeak is 172.246.118.15.  We use that in conjunction with Steam to coordinate events and trainings.  We ask that all members try to stay in and socialize with our members.

Roles

Another way that our members participate in the 19te is through applying and playing in “roles” during linebattles. We have two – “Pfunder”, or our artillery, and “Hussar”, our cavalry.  Instead of most regiments that have separate ranks for these special roles, we designate our members by the addition of a extra three letters: "Pfd" and "Hsr".  These members have been tried and true in the 19te, they must be competent of all formations as a soldier, and they must show initiative to lead or coordinate, if necessary.  After a prospect applies, they go through a similar process to be accepted.  After being accepted, they will have the opportunity to coordinate trainings, 1v1s (Hussars), and play in a specialty role during line battles.  The officer corps has the right to determine who plays the specialty roles at the onset of events, in an effort to expose potential prospects.

October 2018

The 33rd is as ever, openly Recruiting! We attend multiple events every week; three of which we run ourselves with no commitment beyond one event a week required to stay on our Roster.

We maintain five active companies - three of which are Line with Lights and Cavalry to support, with 190 members on the strength as of October. The company system allows us to contribute a large presence as one whole regiment in our events, whilst maintaining smaller communities in which individual members can play their part and make a difference!

Welcoming New, Experienced, Relaxed or Competitive  players - Enlist with the Duke of Wellingtons Own Today!

Roster Update

Regiment Roster

The Light Company  -  active service

The Light Company is a melee focused company, made up of not only 33rd veterans but also up and coming members looking to fight at a more competitive level. During events the Light company acts as a guarilla force, being able to take any enemy regiment one on one, whether it be a line, cav, or light force often utilising ambush tactics. The Lights are the most "Free" in terms of formation and rules of any company/class, They have no need to walk in line but instead can spread out to 5 man spaces and can take cover behind trees and rocks. Due to the flexibility required in game and being a limited number company, activity and skill are equally important when considering to apply to the Light company.

The Cavalry Company  -  active service

The Cavalry Company is comprised of light cavalry, is versatile and acts as a support group during events. Due to our unique ability to move across the battle in a short space of time we are able to act as scouts to inform our fellow companies of potential threats and create ambushes, use hit and run tactics to disrupt and disorganize the enemy and use brute force engagements to remove threats and pin the enemy down. Our formations and method of fighting allow members to use their own initiative and skills whilst simultaneously working with fellow company members and remaining as one unit. Similarly to the Lights we are a limited number company so close teamwork, discipline and commitment are must have attributes.

No.2 Centre  -  active service

The No.2 centre company "The Dukes Own" is one of the line companies of the 33rd and is also presently the default company, in to which most new members enlist - as such many new faces come and go from within their ranks. The majority of its members however represent a solid core of active players, familiar to each other and ranked Fusilier or above. The company upholds the core values of the regiment to a high standard, setting an example to the new members who enter the community of the regiment. Trainings and warm-ups are focused appropriately depending on the coming event by a highly experienced set of staff; these may consist of anything from basic melee techniques and groupfighting do's and dont's, to company drill in single or even double rank. You will find yourself welcome within the ranks of No.2 Company if you are mature, disciplined and have a good standard of melee  - or are willing to learn!

No.3 Centre Company  -  active service

The 33rd's No.3 Company "The KGL" joined the battalion in October 2017 and are commanded by Captain Blaze. Their numbers have grown steadily since then and they have developed into a solid line company of the 33rd, able to act alone or in support of other companies. The companies single ranked drill is exemplary and their ability to square up to an enemy line 1 on 1 and fire effectively is well practiced! Its members have close ties, built up from experiences in prior NW regiments; during events the company teamspeak is relaxed and light-hearted banter encouraged but kept balanced with a disciplined approach, when called for by its staff.

No.4 Centre  -  active service

The 33rd's No.4 "The Glasgow Lowlanders" Centre Company is lead by Ensign Scarhead, and is the newest company to join the battalion (Joined November 2017). Before the company joined the 33rd they were known as the "70th Glasgow Lowland Regiment of Foot", a proud regiment with a long-lasting service to NW and the community dating back to 2013. The company is a small but tight-knit group of friends, who still enjoy playing the game after many years, with a focus on a relaxed teamspeak and the enjoyment of its members being a priority. The Company plays a support role in events, working together with another company wherever possible to efficiently defeat the opposition.

November 2018

The 33rd is as ever, openly Recruiting! We attend multiple events every week; four of which we run ourselves with no commitment beyond one event a week required to stay on our Roster.

We maintain four active companies - two of which are Line with Lights and Cavalry to support, with 153 members on the strength as of November.
