Among all the new powerhouses rising to the announcement of the Cavalry League, the 6e Régiment de Hussards is undoubtedly one of those with the highest potential, entirely capable of threatening the title contenders and achieving greatness. Though the name is still recent, with a mere five months of existence, this short time has seemingly been enough for the 6e to establish a strong base, strengthen themselves with key additions and set clear and ambitious goals for the near future. Therefore, this new competition seems to arrive at a welcoming timing, one which will give the perfect occasion for this group of players to test themselves in a challenging, lasting environment and help to rank themselves among the top of the cavalry hierarchy.

At the head of the 6e, Remao, one of the most accomplished French player of the last five years, top players in his own right within the European scene, with a lasting experience as a NCO in one of the best hussar regiment of all time, the 5e Hussards. It was hard to find a better candidate than him to shape the project of a new french hussar regiment. When the 7e Régiment de Hussards departed from the IVe Corps ‘Antioche’ with two other regiments to make their ‘own’ IVe - following massive internal disagreements in the french scene - Bastien was left to find a replacement for the cavalry department. Remao appeared to be entirely capable of filling such a gap, the 5e having recently disbanded just around that time. He was thus given the challenging task to rebuild a cavalry regiment within the IVe Corps ‘Antioche’, with for short-term objective the aim to fill a roster capable of attending the IVe weekly events. He could count on the help of a long-time friend of his, battle-hardened veteran of the cavalry scene and former second-in-command of the 5e Hussards, Treiz. Very quickly, Scarface also appeared as a critical element for the regiment with a serious and try-hard mentality, stable activity and vast in-game knowledge and experience. 

Given the current state of the community, the 6e could not necessarily rely on a substantial influx of new players to fill its ranks, and its leadership logically focused their effort into re-uniting past members of the 7e Hussards to start the 6e. Though the first few weeks required lots of effort to gather a nice looking team, the energy Remao, Treiz, Scarface and many other players (under Bastien’s supervision) put into making the 6e look like a proper regiment finally started to pay off. The regiment had managed to survive the difficult and bumpy first months of existence and could therefore look further ahead with grown confidence.

The beginning of competitive ambitions can sometimes take years to be set in certain regiments. But when you put a man such as Remao in the driver seat, you can expect these to arrive sooner rather than later. The new wave brought by the disbandment of the 9e Régiment de Hussards gave the 6e a whole new dimension, with the arrival of players such as Leensab, ACE, LaPierre and many others, bringing as much skill as experience. As they joined in numbers, the 6e’s challenge was to involve this new group of players within an already well-established core, a challenge which they seem to have overcome with resounding success as the old 9e/3e group became an integrant part of the regiment.

With this current roster, Remao and his men look well-equipped to begin what will be their first competition under that name. Obviously, it’s not clear what their real strength is as we are yet to see them evolve in an official competitive scenery, but the results they achieved in practice are already extremely encouraging and certainly put the 6e in a position where they can prove a threat to every regiment in the league. Its members are putting in the hours to improve, and it's starting to show. Their first encounter should already give a good idea of what they can accomplish together as they will be matched against the ever consistent 4e Hussards. If they can fight equal to equal with them, or even beat them, then who knows how far the Frenchmen can really get.
