Hello soldiers!
Since a lot of the newer players generally don't know how the game actually works, I decided to create this Hell let Loose Guide for beginners.
Do with it what you want. If you are new to the game I highly recommend this video:
Anyway today I focus on:
Main Team ObjectivesIn every Hell Let Loose game no matter the map or game mode the priorities as a Team are like this:
- Map Control
- Ressource Nodes
- Kills
1. Map ControlWith Map Control I mean garrisons (don't mix it up with outposts). As a team you should build the max of 8 garrisons on strategic positions of the map as soon as possible.
Why map control is the most important to win any game in HLL? If you have the garrisons up on multiple spots the whole team can spawn wherever they need to.
As attacker you divert the defenders attention and as defender it gives you more spawn options to flanking units from the opposite team.
More garrisons also can be used as radars, since blue zone garrisons detect units 50m nearby and red zone garrisons 100m nearby.
More garrisons also give you the opportunity to spawn more frequent since each garrison has a spawn cycle of 40 sec.
As an attacking infantry or recon squad your objective should be to find the enemy garrisons and limit or even shut down the respawn capabilities of the opponent team.

2. Ressource NodesRessource Nodes generate additional ressources for your team. After garrisons it's the second most important building for a team.
1 Engineer can build one of each ressource nodes (called a set of nodes), it takes 3 engineers to reach the maximum of 3 full sets.
Base growth of ressources without nodes is 30/min, with 3 complete sets its 60/min you just doubled it.
Building nodes takes you less than 5 min when you know what your doing and you will benefit the whole game (mostly over an hour) of it. As a Team you gain an significant advantage and as a player a lot of XP.
The 3 ressources of a HLL Game are:
- Manpower (needed for spawns, reinforce, airheads etc.)
- Ammunition, (needed for Artillery, Bombing runs, Recon plane, supply drops etc.)
- Fuel (needed for any Vehicle spawn)
With those ressources your commander can help (manpower, ammunition) or spawn your team vehicles (fuel).
Why is it important?Have you ever wondered why the enemy team spawns way more and better tanks or is able to arty, bombing run you 24/7?
It's probably because they got all of their nodes up and you don't.

3. KillsAt the end it also comes down to fragging. I will not go deep into that since everyone has to figure it out himself.

- If you can't frag you will die a lot, if you can't respawn you will loose a lot.
