Welcome to the thread of the 7th iteration of the 'Le Pitchovina' tournament series "Summer Edition II". This series was originally started by Kore back in 2017 and is now being revived for a 7th installment. Summer is meant to be spent outside, therefore I decided to go with small formats, this time a nice sword 3v3.

The speciality of this 3w3 sword tournament is that the officers are ALLOWED to shoot their pistol ONCE in the first 5 seconds of each round. (Subject to change if you kids cry too much).

Tournament Format: Tournament matches will be played out in a 3v3 format. ~~The tournament will be played out in double elimination bracket~~. Aiming for 16 teams.

RULES

Roster Rules

- Players must be signed up with their community name and ID.
- Roleplay names must be included in sign-ups (if applicable).
- Rosters will consist of 3 main players and 1 substitute.
- Only one "Native player" per team - will be reviewed by the moderation team.

General Rules

- It's just a game, respect other people!
- Do not spam the all chat.
- Do not kill each other outside of arenas.
- Captains are responsible for their players.
- Do not attempt to disturb other ongoing matches.
- Any form of cheating is strongly prohibited, including:

cheats
hacks
match fixing
playing a banned player

Match Rules

- Melee speed will be set to medium.
- Identical in-game faces are forbidden.
- Matches played in the group stage will be FT5.
- Quarter & Semi-finals will be FT7 & The grand final will be FT10
- Your team should only spawn in when called by an organizer or referee to do so.
- Every player must play with the community/roleplay name that they were signed up with.
- Only the team Captain should type 'R' in the chat to signify when their team is ready to begin.
- All players must use the first unit officer.
- Players can only shoot once in the first 5 seconds of each round.

Napoleonic Wars World Cup / NWWC 2020 | Closing thoughts, thank yous, congratulations and TOTY

I would like to finally officially close NWWC2020.

This was probably the biggest NWWC by the number of teams (if we take multiple teams per nation into account). It was not the best NWWC in terms of competition and it was most likely not the best NWWC in terms of administration, however, I hope that people will remember it as an honest attempt at bringing, possibly the last, NWWC to the best quality possible, despite some questionable decisions from my side, such as not really well-thought-out brackets, as well as some of the punishments. It's also a shame that statistics didn't really work out.

On that note, I would like to take this moment to thank everybody who put effort, big or little, into this tournament to make it a success. Most importantly, I would like to thank my fellow co-hosts Wursti and Shadey, there were moments where I wanted to kill myself because of one or the other, but at the end, I think you both did a good job in my eyes, as well as my advisors Herishey and Fwuffy. Thank you to all referees as well, especially Rikkert, Saphyro, and Crusher, who I'm pretty sure reffed most of the matches. Thank you to all the casters and everyone who helped capture most of the matches on video.
Without you, I would not have been able to successfully run this tournament at all.

Secondly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who provided servers for NWWC2020. Bullez, Freestyler, Bob, Wursti and Oasis Hosting. Even though there were issues sometimes, these still were one of the best servers I have ever played on.

I would also like to thank Skaen and Shadey for beautiful, original graphics. Thank you to Python for the updated map as well.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who participated, I sincerely hope you all enjoyed this year's edition under my direction.

Congratulations to England (ENG1), who once again proved that at this stage of the game, they have the most dominant player base.

Congratulations to France (FRA2), who despite being initially seen as the weaker roster, made a huge statement and finished second.

This is a current list based on individual performances and results in recent competitive events. Bear in mind it is mostly my own opinion, but I tried to keep it as objective as possible.

I've decided to drop the now usual, "point system" and simply use performance/melee categories. The list in each category is sorted alphabetically - if someone is listed above you in a certain category, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are better than you. Think of it like ELO skill groups in ranked games i.e. CSGO.

I am very much open for suggestions, especially for the lower tiers as my knowledge of players doesn't reach that deep anymore. I will try to have this list updated after every major tournament as well.
