Welcome to Elsse And Python (EAP) new tournament thread. This tournament follows on from the recent 4v4 hosted earlier this month. Watching the large number of teams showing up and the high level displayed by many players, we obviously were highly interested in capitalizing on the community’s interest by organizing another tournament. This edition will witness a welcoming upgrade in the form of a 700€ prize-poll funded by Gibby (up to 70%) and Tardet (up to 30%). Tardet will also be joining the administrative team to cover the regular updates and help organize matches on the tournament’s day.

The tournament will be hosted on Sunday the 5th of April at 19:30GMT, in order to ensure the tournament finishes, with the sign-ups closing Saturday the 4th of April, at 23:59GMT and roster changes closing Sunday the 5th of April, at 16:00GMT.The tournament will be played in the regular 5v5 format. Teams will have to fight their way through a group-stage, followed by a single knockout-stage, in order to reach that sought-after trophy.

Every team must read the following rules as they are very important and there are some differences compared to normal tournaments.

Roster Rules - Roster limit is set to 7 players per teams. - Players MUST sign up with their community names in addition to roleplay names. Both MUST be specified - Roster edit deadline is set at 4:00pm (16:00) GMT the same day (Sunday the 5th of April). After that, not a single change will be allowed. [close]

General rules - Melee speed will be set on medium. - The only class allowed is the line infantry. - You aren't allowed to spawn if you are not playing. -All matches will be ft5, apart from the semi-finals (ft7) and the final (ft10). - A good behaviour is expected. Insulting/toxicity will lead to 1 warning then a suspension from matches. - Cheating once will result in a permanent ban of Elsse and Python's tournaments. - Same Faces in a team are NOT allowed - ID MUST be provided, if not, players with ID's missing won't be allowed to play. It can result in a temporary ban or even more. [close]

Match Rules - Once a match has been called, each team has ~5 minutes to get ready. -If the first round is not started within ~5 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents. - After each round, each team has ~2 minutes before they must have typed 'r' again. - If the next round is not started within ~2 minutes, the responsible team will be punished, as 1 round will be awarded to their opponents. -The rules above are controlled by the referee - if the referee says ~5 or ~2 minutes is up, then the time is up. -If there is clear delaying in a duel at the end of a round after 2 minutes then a warning to the fight will be given. If the player continues to delay or run from the duel then the admin can slay the player. -Once typed 'r' and the referee has said 'go', the round CANNOT be voided. -In any case of a server crash/map change if it is to happen, then all current rounds WILL be VOIDED -tiebreaks will be; 1- points (rounds scored); 2 - wins vs tied opponents [close]

If one of the previous rules isn't respected, then the admins have the right of :
- Preventing a player to play.
- Preventing a team to play.
- Ban someone, either temporary (one tournament) or permanently.
