Generally speaking, i am not. Bowl games are just a completely different beast compared to the regular season. players leave for the NFL, several weeks off from playing(harder to keep your momentum), generally speaking you are lacking the same enthusiasm that you would have against a rival then some random team, the travel and the time spent doing activities at the destination. Some teams travel well, others do not. Not to mention, some of these "road" games are home games for many teams, as they play in their own stadium, or close by compared to teams from the north.(this isn't exclusive to the bowl season) Iowa state played memphis last year in their home stadium. iowa played florida in their own stadium in the past, if memory serves. Personally, i dont think that should be allowed. Make both teams have to travel.
Anyways, i would of guessed the scores for MI and Fl to be closer. as for the national championship, i am not suprised clemson and bama won as easily as they did. I didn't think any of the top 10 teams really had much of a chance against those 2.
in other news, the refs in the ISU vs Was St qualified for the worst refs in this bowl season. It is hard to enjoy a game when the refs keep blowing calls and being inconsistent. They turned what would of been a good/great game into a painful one to watch. I guess there was one bright side, they weren't as bad as those ACC refs from a few years ago.
anyone remember this?
