This is the actual top 20 list of 2k20 and tbh it needs improvement

LeBron James                   97
Kawhi Leonard         97
Giannis Antetokounmpo      96
James Harden         96
Kevin Durant         96
Stephen Curry         95
Anthony Davis         94
Paul George         93
Damian Lillard         92
Joel Embiid         91
Kyrie Irving         91
Nikola Jokic              90
Russell Westbrook           90
Karl-Anthony Towns           89
Klay Thompson              89
Blake Griffin                   88
Donovan Mitchell           88
Jimmy Butler              88
Kemba Walker              88
Rudy Gobert              88
Ben Simmons              87

this is the list i would make if i was making 2k

LeBron James                   96
Kawhi Leonard         97
Giannis Antetokounmpo      96
James Harden         94
Kevin Durant         93 (injury)   w/o injury 96
Stephen Curry         95
Anthony Davis         95
Paul George         91
Damian Lillard         92
Joel Embiid         90
Kyrie Irving         91
Nikola Jokic              92
Russell Westbrook           89
Karl-Anthony Towns           90
Klay Thompson              89 (even with injury) w/o injury 91
Blake Griffin                   88
Donovan Mitchell           89
Jimmy Butler              88
Kemba Walker              90
Rudy Gobert              90
Ben Simmons              87
[close]
Stop capping. Lebron is still best in the NBA and attempts to play full seasons unlike Kawhi. Also 2k loves to suck off Donovan Mitchell. He is not on the same level as Kemba or Jimmy Buckets. Blake Griffin is also criminally underrated. His game is so much better now than when he was on the Clippers. Should be 89-90 at the least. Kemba should be a 89-90 also.

Agreed. Yeh Blake Griffin had some outstanding MVP type numbers last season. Should be a 90 at least.

Lebron at this point is no longer the best player in the nba. When pitching to Kawhi it was made known that he would be "the man" there while there also can be an argument that Giannis is more impactful at this point. Lebron does attempt to play as much as he can but there are many videos out there showing his lack of hustle and him taking breaks on defense. I agree w/ Blake and Kemba but would also point out that Gobert at 90 is too high.

Edit:

Here are some stats to look at:

Lebron's WS/48 (Win Share per 48 mins) was .179 the second lowest of his entire career since his rookie season, a dramatic decline.
Kawhi's WS/48 was .224

Lebron's usage rate this season was also 1.3% higher, statistically significant, despite being less efficient with a TOV% 4.9% higher

Lebron's PER this season was 25.6, the 3rd lowest of his career and slightly lower than Kawhi's 25.8

This ignores the fact that we know Kawhi Leonard frequently rests in the regular season and doesn't go 100%

Even so, Lebron still played 55 games to Kawhi's 60 this season

Bro Gobert has been Defensive Player Of the Year 2 seasons in a row now. 90 is perfect for him. Especially after averaging 16 and 13 on basically 70% from the field this past season. Not going to mention his blocks etc.

Rudy Gobert is an elite defensive presence who doesn't provide much on offense compared to a player like Westbrook who is an 89 on this list. Putting him next to guys like Walker and above Butler (who is elite on both ends and a great 2 way player) is disrespectful. He's too close to guys like Irving, Thompson and George for my liking. I think 88 is more reasonable especially considering the fact that George, Thompson and Butler are all elite on defense and provide alot more value on offense by spreading the floor and scoring.

Also Lebron was hurt this year whereas Kawhi was just resting to preserve himself for the playoffs, which he could do because his team was so great. Lebron also had to deal with his teammates being injured and inconsistent and inefficient. I think it’s fair to say though, that after this next season there will be a new best player in the NBA. I have a feeling it will be Giannis if he starts hitting jumpers consistently.

I feel what you said only further contributes more to my argument. Kawhi resting and not going all out means his stats are deflated for this season and if Lebron is around poorer players, despite his injuries he should be able to put up better numbers. With the ball in his hands more if he's really the best player in the world his team should be putting up better numbers, and they should probably be in the playoffs.

What else would Lebron say to get Kawhi on his team?

Not really. Again, Lebron was injured. Kawhi was full strength after sitting out an entire season AND resting during the regular season. The games he played he wasn’t out there half assing it. Also why would Lebrons numbers be higher on a worse team? The Lakers had no spacing at all. Lebron is at his best with teammates that can space the floor and give him lanes to drive and score or kick out the ball to an open teammate. Lebrons numbers were very similar to last year anyways. And this is all while being injured and playing less minutes than he ever had.

Also if he and Lonzo stay healthy the Lakers are a playoff team and a decent seed at that.

lakers would have been 7th seed and the way the spurs were able to compete with the nuggets it's fair to say that they could have gotten into the second round but that is a fantasy world as the season stands lebron isn't best player it's def Kawhi but bron is still top 5

I’d take Lebron over anybody still. Honestly I’d play him at point guard this year. With the team he has now he could possibly average 10 assists per game if he plays at point the whole season. The dudes playmaking, dribbling, athleticism, and post moves are just so much better than everyone else at his position except maybe healthy Durant.

At this point his career tbh there's alot of people I'd take over him, Giannis, Embiid are both 24 years old and are superstars. Bradley Beal and Anthony Davis are both 25 one of which is coming into his own and the other another bonafide superstar. Kawhi is 27, getting older but still 7 years younger than Lebron. Then we have Harden (29), Curry (30), Durant (30) all MVP players who are 3-4 years younger than Lebron. You have to account for the fact that Lebron has played an insane amount of minutes in his career and no matter how great he is eventually he'll slow down. All of those players I listed at this point I would take over Lebron, for longevity's sake.

I’m talking purely skill wise. If we are talking franchise player I’d choose Giannis. Once he gets a jump shot to hit consistently he’s going to be one of best players of all time.
