How about the Pelicans getting that #1 pick aka Zion!!!
I would personally really hope to see the Pels trade Anthony Davis to the Knicks for the #3 pick aka RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina and maybe Dennis Smith Jr and some future picks or something else. This way we could see the RJ and Zion duo compete in the NBA which would be awesome and brings the hype that the Pelicans desperately need. And they would have plenty of young talents to surround them with and they could all develop together with an exciting young core.
Or
Trade AD to the Lakers. Bring in Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram and anything else the Lakers are willing to throw in. Again this would be an exciting young core to pair with Zion and would likely have a bright future.
My main hope is that Zion gets surrounded with fellow young talents and given time to develop and get comfortable in the League. I want him to become the next superstar but i think its going to take really good conditions for him to do it. And i think a young team with patience is going to be his best bet.
That being said if the Pels make either of those trades expect me to be a full fledged Pelicans fan going forward. I love all the players i mentioned so it would be a dream come true for me to see them all together with Zion!!!
