Get a HBO series ... done, or China Cinema ... both of these series producers just make pure perfection in looks, taste and realism.

I would highly recommend checking out both of them.

You know what would be awesome? Something like The Pacific or Band of Brothers... but in the Napoleonic Wars.

Yes. Just, yes.

Well, something like Band of Brothers would be cool, but The Pacific was awful.

It could follow a unit of Voltigeurs and be called Grande Bande of Brothers.

Obviously its gonna be from the French perspective, maybe we'll see the 95th somewhere in the background  ;D

Overall I would say it was no where near Band of Brothers, however, I believe that the combat scenes were better then Band of Brothers.

Chinese film companies are pretty spectacular, I would recommend "Ji Jie Hao" otherwise known as "Assembly" set in the war between the republic and communist states in China ... bloody fantastic and lets you get to grips with strong characters.

More likely we'll be seeing a lot of Austrians, Russians and some Prussians. Next to no British unless they take it all the way from the Revolution to Waterloo.

Frankly it'll be refreshing, even from my Anglo-biased view.

I hope its a grand bio-pic of Napoleon where you see his entire life unfold to his glorious victories and eventual downfall, return and downfall again.
Perhaps even glimpses of the Revolution to give people a sense of the time.

City of Life and Death had very good battle sequences in its beginning as well, and it's the most grounded and balanced film about the Nanjing massacre made to date by the Chinese. I can't imagine its director would be very passionate about Napoleon though.
