NWBC Season 2 ~ Week 1

You're looking at this and thinking another NWL clone. You're wrong. Ok, so What the hell is this? The NWBC Is a league, similar to that of the NWL but with one spectacular difference. The NWBC expects it's teams to field around 70+ members spreading across 5-6 units. It will bring large regiments together and combine them into powerful forces, and pit them against each other and create incredible battles with a tactical dynamic where communication will be one of many keys to victory.

General Information *Subject to change* *All battles must be admined by an Admin team, if not they will be discounted. *Only Large maps will be used, both regiment (not detachment) leaders must agree *No bonuses. *Battles are 3 rounds. *Both regiments must agree on an Admin team. ie 1/2 Admins must be present *Battles must be within the given match week. No earlier, no later. You are given a 1 time match week carryover that means if you cant play during 1 week you get one chance to fix that. The league doesnt slow down for you to catch up you have to then make up that lost week yourselves. *White chat is only to be used by Regiment and Detachment commanders,  for questions and concerns that need to be be directed to an admin, nothing else. *Admin's decisions are not to be disputed in a match, but instead to be brought to a organizer afterwards. *If one team appears, they get a 3-0 win, if neither it is a tie. *All Charges may only be called when the following criteria is met                      - There is less than 15 people on each side                      - The timer is past 45 minutes                      - There is no cavalry alive on the battlefield                      - The bulk of the remnant is line infantry, at least 7 infantrymen (not including artillery) 80 is the ROUGH Minimum men required to play. 40 Line, 15 Cav, 15 Skirms and 10 Arty is the Minimum men you can bring to make the 80. The maximum limits will be as follows: ~ Line (Subject to balance), 15 Cav, 15 Rifles, 10 Arty. This creates 80 men, any above 80 men can only be bolstered by Line infantry. If a team brings under 70 men the other team may still bring 70. if a team brings as an example 75 men, the enemy team may bring +2 men ie 77 men as balance.

Unit Limits Per Team Line Infantry *Not Fire in charge *Not Officer Aim *Not Reload in Charge *Keep in a Line formation, no gaps, blobs and squares are counted as formations. *Musicians and Flag Bearers are allowed, but remember it detracts from your overall amount of muskets. *Fire in formation, if there's a gap it's not a formation. (Unless in double column) A team may have Line that total 40 men across either 2 lines or 3 lines. Maximum subject to balance ingame [close] Cavalry *May Pick all classes accepted apart from Dragoons * Must dismount when they have 3 or less (that's inclusive) * Continuing the charge is allowed,that means finish off the unit your fighting, don't head over to a nearby unit or the arty *Maintain Cohesion when moving A team may have Cavalry that total 15 men maximum regardless. Minimum is 10 men on the field subject to balance. [close] Skirmishers Rifles: * May Have a maximum of 5 man spacing * May Fire in charge * Must maintain Cohesion Lights: * May have a maximum of 2 man Spacing * Must NOT Officer Aim * Must NOT Fire in charge * Must maintain Cohesion A team may ONLY be Rifles OR Lights in the tournament and may have 15 men Maximum regardless. Minimum is 15 men subject to balance. (* Must maintain Cohesion) - This means that you may only fire when you are stationary or entering a charge if your class allows Fire in Charge. If you are retreating from a line and turning to fire you are doing FoL / Fire out of Formation and can be slayed. Make sure it doesnt happen! /spoiler] Artillery * May use either howitzers or cannon but may not take more than 2 artillery pieces in total. * Artillery guards may fight as skirmishers but should stick close to the guns under normal circumstances. * Sapper defenses must be reasonable, plank glitches are OK as long as you're not blocked in, and no floating earthworks etc. You get 50 bp An Example would be 8 men split into:     2 Rankers     2 Trains     1 Sapper     1 Officer     2 Guard A team may use a minimum of 8 artillery in the tournament. Maximum is 10 men regardless but is still subject to balance. [close] [close]

Hi ! First of all good luck ! I've a question : My Corps will probably signup but can we be leader of a team and also admin (for the other match I mean) ?

Edit : Another question why only 10 men for the Light/Rifles ?

Apparently in 70 v 70 rifles are OP when over 10 xD I'm alright with that

Yes you can be a general and also an admin. The reason skirms are max 10 is cus it's 70 men. If we expected min 80 then maybe skirms can be upped. It worked good before but the only way to increase skirms now is to reduce cav or line. Idk if people would want less line to get a few extra rifles 

Numbers can be adjusted but would likely either reduce line or increase to 80 required

Added a poll to get feedback on how the community want the teams to be split numbers wise as ive heard some people want more cav and rifles etc, others want more line.
