History
The regiment sailed to Flanders in summer 1742 and took part in the Battle of Dettingen in June 1743.It was at this engagement that the unit received the nickname "Young Buffs". They were part of a force led into action by King George II who mistook them for the 3rd Regiment of Foot, who were known as '"the Buffs" due to their buff facings and waistcoats, the sovereign called out, "Bravo, Buffs! Bravo!". When one of his aides, an officer of the 3rd Regiment of Foot, corrected the monarch, he then cheered, "Bravo, Young Buffs! Bravo!". It was subsequently at the Battle of Fontenoy in May 1745, where it suffered heavy losses, and the Battle of Melle in July 1745, returning to England in October 1745. The regiment was posted to Minorca in 1749.

The regiment took part in the capture of Martinique in March 1794, the capture of Guadeloupe in April 1794 and the capture of Saint Lucia in May 1796 but suffered heavy losses due to fever before returning to England in 1797. It was also involved in the Battle of Alkmaar in October 1799 during the Anglo-Russian invasion of Holland. The regiment was then posted to Minorca in 1801. A 2nd battalion was again formed in 1805 and the regiment next took part in the Alexandria expedition in 1807.

In October 1808 the 2nd Battalion landed at A Coruña in Portugal, and took part in the Peninsular War, including the Battle of Talavera in July 1809, the Battle of Albuera in May 1811, the Battle of Vitoria in June 1813 and, having pursued the French Army into France, the Battle of Nivelle in November 1813 and the Battle of Orthez in February 1814. The regiment was reduced to a single battalion regiment in 1814 when the two battalions merged in Sicily.

Other Games / Friday the 13th: The Game
« on: December 26, 2016, 03:18:19 pm »
I didn't see a thread about it here so I'm making one if there is already one and I'm retarded enough not to see it then please show me and I will delete this thread.

General Information:
"What is Friday the 13th: The Game? Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night. That's right...1v7 multiplayer set in the semi-open world of Camp Crystal Lake! It's a classic horror fan's dream, no shaky cam, no found footage. We want you to know we're revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment. Friday the 13th is the definition of horror to the millions of fans around the world. A masked killer going after the young and vulnerable; it grabs our attention, it frightens us, and yet we all come back for more. Friday the 13th: The Game will give you the feeling of horror and dread that you expect from Jason Voorhees. This will be the ultimate asymmetrical horror experience unlike anything you’ve seen - a title we’re proud to introduce that is worthy of the name ‘Friday the 13th’." - Donation Page

Media:
Please note as it stands it's in a Beta Stage, so there are probably bugs and will be bugs. What is shown in these videos is not a final representation of the game but as it stands in development at the current point in time and can change up until the games official release.

The regiment is comprised of all close friends, great shots, and decent melee fighters! We want to achieve having a fun, welcoming regiment for each member! We try to all make the fun of what we have, and it doesn't matter what your skill level is in anything! What you lack in, we can help you get better in together! The regiment is mostly like a small family since everyone is mostly close to each other and we aren't crazy as other regiments. We also play other games with each other besides Warband, and we accept all members no matter of age or personality!

The Nr.26 Infanterie Regiment has a blurred history at best, We know however the regiment is recruited from South German men, mainly from the surrounding area of Vienna. In some cases volunteers from the territory of Walloon and the former Austrian Netherlands. The regiment is named to commemorate Wilhelm, Prinz von Oranien-Nassau (1772-1843) who was crowned King of the Netherlands on 16 March 1815. His son, the future King Wilhelm II, was a corps commander in the Duke of Wellington’s Anglo-Allied army during the Waterloo Campaign.

Extra Information
All:
Skirms, Arty Guards and Line Infantry may fire once on the charge (FOC) but may not reload again during that charge. Once your unit is engaged in close combat if you as an individual are not engaged in melee you may THEN reload and continue to fire. "On the charge" MEANS there must be the full intent and execution of melee as a result of the charge. Units may also fire once on retreat (FOR) but may not reload again during that retreat until "those reloading" reform as a unit, skirms and Grenadiers are exempt and some may still be involved in melee.  Cav "drive bys" are prohibited! During close combat units that do fire do not have to observe unit spacing rules but should be in "close proximity" of the combat. Close combat is defined as two or more units having at least a man engaged in melee combat. A unit may choose to break their charge if their intended target retreats, REFORM INTO THEIR STANDARD FORMATION, RELOAD and continue to perform as normal.

Skirms: Rifles and Light Infantry may use rocks and trees to their advantage. This means that you may split your Regiment across rocks and trees, but must have two units minimum to a tree or rock. These groups do not have to be within spacing of another group.  If a group becomes a single player for any reason that single player must be within spacing rules or is considered a rambo.

149th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment
 2nd Bucktail

History

The 149th Pennsylvania Infantry, also known as the 2nd Bucktail Regiment, volunteered during the American Civil War and served a 3-year term from August 1862 to June 1865. Like their forerunners in the 1st Bucktail Regiment, each soldier wore a bucktail on his headwear as a trophy of marksmanship.
During the first year of the Civil War, the 1st Bucktails distinguished themselves as skirmishers and sharpshooters, and Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton desired to raise an entire brigade of similar characteristics. Stanton enlisted Major Roy Stone of the 1st Bucktails to this task, and Stone raised 20 companies of recruits by the end of August 1862. These 20 companies became the 149th and 150th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiments.

Doubleday ordered Stone to deploy his three regiments south of Chambersburg Pike, along McPherson Ridge between two other I Corps brigades, those of Brigadier General Solomon Meredith and Brigadier General Lysander Cutler. As Doubleday turned to leave, he told them, "Hold them boys when you get there." One of the men shouted back, "If we can't hold them, where can you get men that can?"Then, shouting "We have come to stay," the line of Pennsylvanians went forward.

Claiming the name 33rd Virginia and this thread is a WIP

Hello there recruits! This is the Regimental History of the 51st Georgia

The regiment was organized and mustered into service soon after the secession of Virginia on 17 April 1861. It was formed of ten companies, which included men from Hampshire, Shenandoah, Frederick, Hardy, Page, and Rockingham counties. Two of these counties, Hampshire and Hardy, seceded in 1863 from the state of Virginia, forming part of the northeastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

The ten companies were:

A - Potomac Guards (Hampshire Co.)
B - Toms Brook Guard (Shenandoah Co.)
C - Tenth Legion Minute Men/Shenandoah Riflemen (Shenandoah Co.)
D - Mountain Rangers (Winchester, Frederick Co.)
E - Emerald Guard (Shenandoah Co.)
F - Independent Greys/Hardy Greys (Hardy Co.)
G - Mount Jackson Rifles (Shenandoah Co.)
H - Page Grays (Page Co.)
I - Rockingham Confederates (Rockingham Co.)
J - Shenandoah Riflemen(Shenandoah Co.)

Originally, the regiment was commanded by Col. Arthur C. Cummings, though it would change hands many times through the war. The 33rd, along with the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 27th Virginia Regiments, formed the famous 'Stonewall Brigade' under the command of the legendary Stonewall Jackson. The average height of a soldier in the regiment was 5'8", and the average age was 25 years; these figures fluctuated greatly as the years progressed.

The 33rd Virginia remained in the Stonewall Brigade in Thomas J. Jackson's Second Corps until the restructuring of the Army of Northern Virginia after his death in the spring of 1863. It was then put under Richard Ewell's command until the spring of 1864, when it dissolved at the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House.

The regiment was a part of the Army of Northern Virginia from July 1862 until its surrender at Appomattox Court House, except during James Longstreet's 1863 independent expedition to Georgia and East Tennessee.
Engagements:American Civil War: First Battle of Manassas-First Battle of Kernstown-Jackson's Valley Campaign-Seven Days' Battles-Battle of Cedar Mountain-Second Battle of Bull Run-Battle of Antietam-Battle of Fredericksburg-Battle of Chancellorsville-Battle of Gettysburg-Overland Campaign-Valley Campaigns of 1864-Appomattox Campaign

When was the 33rd Virginia?

The 51st Georgia was formed by Major Lady Midnight on September 14th, 2015. Midnight has been in command in multiple other North and South regiments and Napoleonic Wars, Namely the 6th New York Heavy Artillery(NaS), 21st New Jersey Volunteer Cavalry(NaS), Major of the 1stIR(NW), Colonel of the 1stRCR(NW), Capitaine of the 26eme(NW), and Major in the 1stRI(Not the same xD, NW), and Lieutenant Colonel of the 14th Buckinghamshire Regiment of Foot.

Who are the 33rd Virginia and why should I care?

The 33rd Virginia is a Line regiment as of this moment, but we are working on having multiple companies if we can, we will try to mix things up so no one gets bored too quickly!

Confederates / 27th Alabama Infantry Regiment [NA/EU]

Claiming and Reserving the Regiment Name, 27th Alabama
This thread is currently a WIP

Hello there recruits! You're probably wondering who the 27th Alabama are!

This regiment was organized at St. Heinian, Tennessee, a number of companies having flocked to that point, in the winter of 1861. Ordered to Fort Henry, the regiment shared in the defence of that place, but retired before its surrender, and formed part of the garrison of Fort Donelson. It took part in that memorable conflict, and was there surrendered. A number of the command were in hospitals, &c, and these were not captured, but organized into two companies, joined the Thirty-third Mississippi, and lost 8 killed and 25 wounded at the battle of Perryville. The main body of the regiment was exchanged in September 1862, and was ordered to Port Hudson, where it was joined by the other two companies. It remained in that quarter during the winter, and was brigaded under Gen. Buford of Kentucky, Loring's division. It was then in the trenches at Jackson for ten days, and retreated with the army across the Pearl. The regiment passed the winter at Canton, and in the spring of 1864 was sent to the vicinity of Tuscumbia to recruit, being greatly reduced in numbers. A detachment of the regiment crossed the Tennessee, and captured about 100 of the enemy in April 1864. It was soon after ordered to Dalton, and placed in Scott's brigade with the Twelfth Louisiana, and Thirty-fifth, Forty-ninth, Fifty-fifth, and Fifty-seventh Alabama regiments - Loring's division, Stewart's corps. The Twenty-seventh was from that time forward a sharer in the vicisitudes of the Army of Tennessee, fighting with much loss throughout the Atlanta-Dalton campaign, and forming part of the last confederate wave of battle as it swept beyond the bloody abatis at Franklin, and beat vainly against the gates of Nashville. A mere skeleton of the regiment proceeded to the Carolinas, where it was consolidated with the Thirty-fifth, Forty-ninth, and Fifty-seventh Alabama regiments, and was surrendered at Greensboro, N.C. April 1865.

When was the 27th Alabama formed?

The 27th Alabama was formed by Colonel Lady Midnight on July 16th, 2015(Pre Steam Group). Lady Midnight has been in command in multiple other North and South regiments and Napoleonic Wars, Namely the 6th New York Heavy Artillery(NaS), 21st New Jersey Volunteer Cavalry(NaS), Major of the 1stIR(NW), Colonel of the 1stRCR(NW), Capitaine of the 26eme(NW), and Major in the 1stRI(Not the same xD, NW). The 27th Alabama is in negotiations with the DA

Regiments / 1st Polish Infantry Regiment Reformation *WIP*
« on: March 06, 2015, 04:46:36 am »
Before we begin, I know this regiment is Polish and that we don't have Polish ranks, I'm fully aware and this is the way it was in the old days with the regiment under the Old Colonel and thats the way we want it kept until further notice.

Information

The 1st Polish Infantry Regiment or 1stIR was founded by then Colonel Hungarian Habsburg on January 17th, 2014 after a split-off from BUSTOP who was in charge of the 30thST at the time. The 1stIR went through multiple stages during its life. Later on in May 2014 Roy joined the 1stIR bringing with him many people making the 1stIR to a mighty 30 men strong. Roy remained in the regiment for plenty of time to come and recruited some of its most notable members like Yoloswaggins, Potato and Midnight. The 1stIR officially disbanded back in May 10th, 2015 but the soul still lived on in our hearts. Which is why we've decided to reform it under permission from the old Colonel.

Like I said prior we aren't going to be using polish ranks. So here is our ranks.
